What Exactly is Wi-Fi?!

Okay after hearing so much about this, mostly about the new D/P games and not exactly knowing what it is. Can someone please give me complete and utterly good explaination about wi-fi? I know that you can play with people arcross the country but how? When you get a Wi-fi game does it come with an adapter or do you just insert the game and look up your friend and play whatever you wanted to play?

Please tell me!!!

You're cool.
Go to nintendowifi.com -.-

But heres the summary

The Nintendo Wi-Fi connection is a free online service for the Nintendo DS system. Generally its online play, allowing gameplay with others around the world. When you get a Wi-Fi game (Currently Mario Kart DS, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Tony Hawk's American Sk8Land, Metroid Prime: Hunters, and Lost Magic) you do not get an adapter. In order to play Wi-Fi, you will need a Wireless Router (Linksys recommended) or a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector (Use at your own risk ;0). Basically anywhere where a Wireless B signal is transmitted can be used as a wi-Fi hotspot to play online.

As for 'looking up friends' the service puts you up with random people to play against, excluding ACWW. Unless you have these stupid things called "Friend Codes" you cannot play with specific people. The only game where FC's are required though is ACWW.

I think that's a good explanation :0
