I have some money from Christmas leftover, and couldn't decide which game I should get, I have $55. I can't choose between:

Animal Crossing: Wild World
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
Sonic Rush
Burnout Legends
Sonic Adventure 2 (Less then $20 at Walmart.com)
Final Fantasy IV Advance

or, one my favorites,
Lego Star Wars for GameCube

I might get some sort of Star Wars game for the computer too.

Animal Crossing is your #1 choice! I stayed up until 6:30 in the moring playing that! Lot's of stuff to do, It's a game you can't get bored with.

I'm going to be shot for this but whats so good about animal crossing? Not that I hate it, but I never played it much, so I don't see why everybody raves about it. If you liked the original then buy this one though. Otherwise Adventure 2, I bought it recently, its a fantastic game (if your into 3-D sonic). I liked it better than Rush.

Animal Crossing: Wild World
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
Sonic Rush
Burnout Legends
Sonic Adventure 2 (Less then $20 at Walmart.com)
Final Fantasy IV Advance

...

Animal Crossing: Wild World... unless you liked the original, stay away from this. Personally, I find Animal Crossing to be sooo boring but well, it's your choice...

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow... people whine that this is short... maybe it is... but only if you look at the final game clock ; you'll spend a lot of time dying and getting trashed by bosses so your playtime should reach 10-15 hours while your real playtime will be about 20-25 hours or even more if you want to see everything (and you should!). Also, hard mode isn't just a gimmick in this game (it isn't just the damage that changes!) and there is the classic boss rush mode as well as a new mode with extra characters which, unlike in past Castlevania games, isn't actually an afterthought! Also, you get to create your own custom mini-dungeon and to use it in multiplayer games. All in all, this is the one you should get, in my opinion.

Sonic Rush... horribly overated. Yet another Sonic Advance 2 style Sonic game... read: push right and never do anything else or almost. Stay away from this game or better yet, get a genesis and the genesis Sonic games. Sigh... why don't Sega understand that what is important is NOT excessive speed but level design?

Burnout Legends... can't comment much on that, unfortunately... but usually, Burnout come off as inferior to F-Zero in terms of racing, inferior to Mario Kart in terms of item blasting.

Sonic Adventure 2... since you get it for 20 $, it's not too bad... but otherwise, Sonic isn't what it used to be, although the 3D games tend to have better gameplay surprisingly than the new 2D games (COUGH! Sonic Rush COUGH!). Not the best choice, definitely.

Final Fantasy IV Advance... very good yet overated RPG. Get this if you never experienced the SNES version... else, this is deja-vu and I would wait for FF3 DS, which unlike FF4, is a game you probably never played (unless you're into emulators and fan translations)... and even then, FF3 is given a MAJOR overhaul while FF4 only get FF1&2 Dawn of Souls-style GFX upgrades.

Well, all in all, I recommend Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow. If you don't have them already, I suggest getting also:

Gamecube:
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime 2
Super Smash Brothers Melee
Resident Evil 4
Soul Calibur 2
F-Zero GX
Mario Kart Double Dash
Super Mario Sunshine (horribly underated)

Nintendo DS:
Meteos
Kirby Canvas Curse
Wario Wares

Gameboy Advance:
Castlevania Aria of Sorrow
Wario Wares
Metroid Zero Mission

Good games, good...

Well, that's all. Have a nice day.

Animal Crossing is good, as long as you have pacients. It also doesn't have competition (or surious for that matter).

Did you read posts last time you said that? Do you think Sonic would walk along the levels going 'Oh, that's a nice bush'? No, you need to go fast. That's why these games are a hit.

To the first poster: Do you already have them games? Your post said you CAN'T choose any of them games.

O hai you guysh !
Read some reviews on Gamespot and such, then you'll know the best game to get. One thing I don't recommend is Nintendogs. Great at first, but it gets boring very quickly.

Though, if you were still asking about a game in my opinion, wait for Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt. Should be out within' a month or two. Due for release 2nd February here in Australia, I think.

First Hunt is just the demo of Metroid Prime Hunters. The name of the game itself is just Metroid Prime: Hunters, but yeah, it seems that it's going to be a pretty darn good game.

Anyway, I'd suggest you choose between Wild World and Dawn of Sorrow. Wild World, IF you like it, will probably last you a lot longer than Dawn. From experience, Dawn is a REALLY good game and long enough to accept (around 10-12 hours). I can't say for Wild World, it's not out in Europe yet, but from what I've read it's a great game too.

If you like sim-games (games like The Sims, Harvest Moon or maybe even things like Rollercoaster Tycoon), Animal Crossing may suit you well. If you like things like Metroid or other side-scrolling action(/adventure) games, you'll definitely like Dawn of Sorrow.

Mario Kart is looking good so far, so I suggest that game (I've played it myself,
and it's A LOT of fun to play).

Animal Crossing is great if you have a lot of time on your hands and internet
access. It has plenty of replay value, and it doesn't get stale.

If you're able to buy stuff off of the internet, try this site:
http://www.lik-sang.com

They carry Japanese DS games (playable on any DS, no matter what country),
and they have the awesome "Pokemon Dungeon" games.
You ought to also pick up "Jump Superstars" if you like anime, because that game is great.

By FF3, do you mean the NES remake or the FF3US game, which is basically FFVII? This is because FFVII also gets the emulator (ZSNES) and fan translation treatment, so it may be confusing for the first poster. Unless they don't really care about what it is o_O

And, even though I have beaten the PSX version twice, I would still bet on play FFIVAdv if not for the extremely big boost in replay value, you must beat the game AT LEAST 3 times to unlock EVERYTHING in the game, and then there's still the all new super-boss (not the FinalbossEG that you fight at the end of the hidden dungeon).

EDIT: >_>;; Oh, so it is the NES remake after all. Apparently the remake project is being headed by the one who made FFXI, so I'm all for waiting for FF3 DS.

IMO Sonic Rush is not overrated. I've played since Sonic 1 on the genesis/megadrive and Rush is the first 'modern' (as in since Dreamcast) Sonic game I've enjoyed just as much as the originals. The game is fast (not all about speed though) and it avoids mimicking the classic formula to the point of boredom. Adding the trick combos creates a great new element and the special stages are my favorite to date (touch screen with Sonic 2 style stage-great). I disagree that the game is all about scrolling right (obviously that is involved), but most sonic games involve an element of pushing one direction (forward in 3D). SR involves all the usual 'dilemmas' to prevent a constant right scroll (gaps, enemies, jumps), while adding a few extras like tricks to reach higher or further ledges.

Sonic Adventure 2 (DC version) was a good buy at the time. It was such a long time ago since I last played it though so I can't remember many details.

I can't say much about the rest. Got AC:WW on order from the USA because a few of my friends are obsessed. They insist I will like it so giving that a shot.

Good Night!
You should get Animal Crossing Wild World or Lego Star Wars. I have both so I think you should get either because they're both fun. Lego Star Wars is pretty cheap, less then Animal Crossing Wild World.

I would recommend Mario Kart DS. It is really good fun and becuase of the online features, it has a lot of reply value and gives you the chance to attemt to become the best.

Also, I have to say that Sonic Rush is highly over rated IMO. On the back of the case it says 14 levels, which I though would be great, but it is 7 levels but with 2 characters. That is the only thing which let me down. And my mum was playing on it and got bored because all you have to do is hold right. Sure it is fast and full of speed, but do not expect it to be as good as everyone makes it out to be.

Sonic Adventure 2 is a good 3D sonic game, and with the Hero and Dark stories, I think that it is a great way to make the story more interesting. Plus there are about 12 levels, as each character has there own. Also, the Choa world can be great fun. But remember that reviews and what I have typed are only opinions, not fact. So I suppose the best thing to do is to see the game in action.

From what I have heard, Animal Crossinf Wide World sounds like a good game, but it has not yet come out in the UK yet so I can not be sure that it will great.

Now back to the point.
I would recomment Mario Kart DS, cos it has great replay value with the online features. And also Metroid Prime Hunters sounds like a great game, which will also have online features.

My recommendations are:
Mario Kart DS
Metroid Prime Hunters (if you are willing to wait)

Please remember that what has been typed in this post is opinion only and not to be taken as a fact. LOL

I think the back cover is referring to the fact that each stage has 2 acts (14 levels, but 7 themes).

I don't think I actually reccommended a game. So I recommend Mario Kart DS. I bought it the other day and it's a blast!!

You mean VI....you can easily get it and play it by emulators but........

I do recommend that you get Metroid Prime for GCN. Mario Kart DS, FFIV advance. (It lasts quite awhile over 30 hours and isn't too easy.) and the FFVI port when it comes out over here. MMX collection should be fun too. It's for GCN. One more DS one. AC:WW is very fun online. Otherwise you might get bored too quickly.

I know some of these aren't on your list but they are good as the ones on that list.

I've only ever played one of those: Sonic Adventure 2.

If it's that cheap you might as well get that and another game. It would definately be worth it.

Wig

Out of a crazy mind.
sonic adventure 2 all the way, plus it costs $20 dollars at walmart but it, the save up for mario kart ds.
P.SA2 has 180 emblems, it should take you a long time before giving up.
