Some of you proboably don't even know who she is, but she's the original voice of both Ash and May. What happened to her. The new voice makes Ash sound horrible and during May's battle against Solidad, I found myself thinking that she's some inexperienced rookie. I'm one of May's beautifly's biggst fans, so I've seen every contest May's ever been in. Her voice just doesn't match her to me. Ash's voice sounds like BLAAUGH!!! It's so repulsive that some of my friends stopped watching pokemon altogether for the Battle fronter serie. Is their any one else that feels this horrible mistake.;321;

I don't know if you know this, but 4Kids lost the rights to Pokemon quite a while ago. Pasta La Vista was the last episode they did and since then PUSA and TAJ have been doing the dubbing. None of the old voice actors from 4Kids (Unless you count Jimmy Zoppi, who did Gary's voice in the dub) are being used for the show anymore. The chances of 4Kids working on the dub again are slim, so don't get your hopes up.
Sarah has gotten much better in the more recent episodes and did more than Veronica could ever have done. She's gotten better than the previous BF episodes and I don't know how ANYONE can't see that. I'd go with pure denial. Seems like it's the only reason to still hate Sarah up to now.
These guys will be here for a long time, so shut up and deal with it.

I mean seriously, the voices don't suck. You just need to get used to them, just like the VA needs to get used to them. Try to give them some time to figure out the characters. >_>
If you stop watching a show because you don't like the VA, you need to cut yourself.
Honestly, now that they have new VAs, I can't bear to listen, or watch for that matter, the show anymore. I tried time and time again to get used to Ash's new voice, but every time I hear it, I feel like my ear drums are going to pop. I guess I'm just too attached to the VAs in that time. *sniff*

LOL, I myself have stopped watching pokemon before Ash even got to the fourth gym in Hoenn. It was getting really boring. I don't know if the new VA's are any good, I heard they sucked, but that depends on who's watching.
Anyways yeah, teh old VAs got PWNED and replaced.

By the way, I noticed Sarah's voice is deeper than Veronicas. How have the other vharacter's voices changed? Would someone please elaborate, i.e. what happened to the voices of Misty, Brock, Prof. Oak, Gary, and any other significant others.

They all changed. Every one of them. The pokemon sometimes use Archived voices of 4kids VAs, but they're still changed when it needs to.
Most are good and some are a little meh. Basically, the dub is a little like 4Kids' without the edit happy episodes.
Hope that clears everything up.

I have to admit I'm not satisfied myself...maybe I, like thousands of other Pokemon fans, have simply been spoiled by listening to Veronica Taylor, etc, and am simply not giving them a fair chance.
Of course, the show has gone way downhill, so watching it hasn't been enjoyable in the first place, so it's not like the new VA, who have some big shoes to fill, are getting a fair chance
What bothered me about May's new voice was how seductive it was, people have a hard time remembering she's 10, between her chest and her outfit, now she sounds 19 or something. Not a bad voice, just too seductive for a character of that age

And I bet if Pokemon had started out with the current VAs we have now, then switched to 4kids, people would be kicking and screaming just as much, if not more. ;P
Remember, in the first (I mean very first!) several episodes when Pokemon first showed it's face in the US, their voices were absolutely horrible. But then time went on and the VAs got used to their roles, and did better at it. That's going to happen again with the new VAs, and if you think it's not... Well.. YOU try voice acting for a cartoon. It's not as easy as just talking into a mic, and like just about every other job in the world, it takes getting used to.

I may get stoned for saying this, but some people in these threads thought that compared to the work of TAJ/Pkmn USA, 4Kids did a better job. When I first heard Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon, my ears were nearly bleeding. Of course, 4Kids also ruined many an anime they got their hands on, most notably something called One Piece.
I will give credit to TAJ and Pkmn USA for the job they are doing now. Not as good as 4Kids, but a creditable job.
