Pokemon suddenly seems so kiddy. I think that they should make a show for teens, don't you think? Or how could they make the show better?;212; Scizor does not want to be kiddy anymore.

The animé has long since evolved from its happy-go-lucky state, that image most evident in Kanto and Johto, to a lesser extent. Hoenn is a lot more advanced and a lot more serious(not without its laughs, though, of course). People who call it kiddy are just reciting inbred insults that don't even apply any longer.

Yeah, very true. The only thing "kiddy" about Pokemon is the Anime in my opinion. The Dean of Suds said:Pokemon is still quite kiddy in terms of the shows, although they are slowly crawling away from that title, I agree that they have a long way to go. But if you despair over the kiddyness of pookemon, look at the card game, the video games. They aren't geared for younger children, they are geared for all audiences, not just children.

Pokemon is still VERY MUCH geared towards the younger age spectrum. Tell me what self-respecting television series designed for kids 12 and up has the SAME DAMN story line every time you watch it? Ash runs around acting goofy... they run into some guy or girl they'll probably never see in their lives again. Brock goes crazy if it's a female, they battle, team rocket comes, pikachu uses thunderbolt. "Awesome" rock plays throughout all of this and at the end of it all, we get a good little fuzzy feeling inside because ASH BEAT TEAM ROCKET.
I agree with this. I don't see how the anime is becoming more mature, if anything too me it seemed more mature when it first began, imo. I think the kiddy side of pokemon is the anime, and that's my opinion, like it or not. The games seem to be getting more mature, bit by bit, in terms of creature creation, example Dorapion. But that doesn't stop what age audience pokemon was intended for in the first place.Chilled2m7 said:Your delusional.

Even the championships in the houenn league managed to be boring..
Sorry, the only shows I know of with this much repetition is Dora the Explorer and other Nick JR shows
It's about time someone said that. The mainstream population sees the anime first and the strategy and depth behind the games last(if ever). If I didn't know anything about Pokemon and watched one filler of the anime, I would think it was kids too. "We're blasting off again!!! Again!! and Again!!"Chilled2m7 said:Your delusional.
