What happens when you get 999:99?

Well I am less then an hour away from 700 hours in my emerald and I have been very cautious when playing my game because I don't want to get to 999 hours (which I can easly) but what will happen? will my game just restart or will it crash and then I can't play it anymore?

Your time will forever stay 999:99, it does not effect the game in anyway. It just means you've been playing for an insane amount of time.

it means you've averaged almost 2 hours of playing per day.

or, like me, you leave it on overnight and forgot to save before going to sleep.

though i must say that it still took me (from first day on sale) until this week to reach 999:59 on my sapphire, and i'm still in the 200s on emerald.

Anyway, there are rumours that say that your game will stop but that's unlikely. I restarted Emerald like 67+ times already so I don't even get to 123 hours of game time......

it stays at 999:59 and then nothing happens all events stay just the same as before

Events that are caused by time will still happen. Like Shoal Cave or Eevee evolving.

Only the clock will stop.

Your games game time clock wont go up anymore, and besides i dont think its 999:99i think its 999:59..
