I'm getting worried since my Pokemon Emerald is nearing 999:99 hours of gameplay.

I'm assuming your DS or Gameboy will explode. Either that or a Level 999 Missingno enters your game and kills your PC and Party.

But seriously, I think it would just stay at 999.99.

The actual Help thread for questions is right below... eh. =/

But anyways - if it reaches 999:99 (Although shouldn't it be 999:59?), then it'll merely stay there. It has no other effect - the game will still play fine. Same for any other Pokemon game, really (or any other game in general). As others have said.
