Some cries sound "semi" realistic, with Chimchar coming to mind.

At this point, I like the current cries since they are always a treat to listen to, especially the strange ones. (Xatu: Bir Bir)

Not to mention having to translate the majority of them for other localisations. Pokken already cut corners in this for about two dozen Pokemon.

I wouldn't mind them using soundbites for any of the anime promoting Mystery Gift Pokemon, just to give them some authenticity (eg. Jimmy Zoppi/Inuko Inuyama providing sound clips for a Team Rocket Meowth)

I feel like adding new voices that are akin to the anime would be too much work. Pikachu is fine, but doing it to the others is just excessive.

Am I the only one who would love this? I have always disliked the screechy 8-bit noises, that to me, all seem to more or less sound alike. Some of the anime voice can be a little annoying, but most are adorable. Realistic animals sounds would be good too... even better would be a setting that lets you toggle between the two options.

Out of curiosity have any of the downloadable Pokemon from the anime been given sound clips or are they just average versions of the games versions?

The anime voices are so much better, I would love for them to get introduced to the game. The voices are great on the TV show and I'd like to see it in the games also.
