Type changes. But what happens when you use trace on groundons drought.
Slower Pokemon's weather takes priority. Since Speed determines the order that abilities take effect in, the faster Pokemon will create Sunny Day/Rain Dance, but then the slower Pokemon will do the reverse, cancelling the first weather effect and putting its own in.

See, the problem with someone guessing an answer is that it can be assumed as the right answer, and then we get what we have in this thread: incorrect answers.
WHEN A POKéMON INHERITS FORECAST VIA SKILL SWAP OR TRACE IT WILL NOT CHANGE FORM OR TYPE.
I just tested it myself and can thus confirm what I have just said. Anyone who doesn't believe me, go try it out yourselves and see what happens (or should I say what doesn't happen ;D)
The emphasised text above has one exception by the way, and that would be Castform, but that was obvious (I would hope).

And all it does is change the type of the Skill swapper.
nothing happens....like many times when u trace some abilitys like forecast, trace,drought,other weather change abilitys,pickup,pure/huge power,plus/minus,
it says that u trace them but nothing happens after that

Why. What did we ever do to you. These people has answered your question. If you already know the ANSWER DONT POST IT! Next time you make people answer a question you already know just to annoy them think about the consequenses.
