What is Eevee?

I never knew what eevee was for 7 years, cat,dog, or something inbetween.

I Know that Jolteon, Vaporeon, and espeon look like dogs.

But flareon and umbreon look like cats!

Eevee, flareon, jolteon, and vaporeon are foxes (though they do have some feline and canine characteristics)
espeon is a nekomata (did I spell that right?)
umbreon is either a cat or a fox

A nekomata is a type of two tailed demon cat.

Anyways, looking at the eevees a bit more, umbreon lacks the long fox face so it would probably be a cat (vaporeon and flareon also lack this so they probably are too though I'm not quite sure about them) though jolteon is definatly a fox, eevee could also have a bit of rabbit in it

I've never been sure, myself: in RBY I figured they were foxes, albeit with surprisingly short muzzles, and umbreon conformed to this. However, espeon is based on the nekomata, which is a demon cat...

They've really got this species-neutral thing going on, on closer inspection. So... I dunno. I guess they're an evolutionary tree of ambiguously mammalian quadrupeds.

They don't necessarily have to be limited to one animal... they could share characteristics with more than one species.

and... Eevee's a Pokemon, so that's all we need to know. :p jk.. sorta. But seriously, I's always thought it was like a fox and a cat mixed together or somethin'. o_O; lol

Eevee resembles a fennec fox, so do all of its evolutions except Espeon. Espeon looks more like a cat.

That's what I was going to say. :D. They're pokemons. They only look like cats, dogs or foxes, but they're not.

Eeeve is overrated and the favorite choice of Mary-Sues. Same goes for its evolutions :D

But seriously, Vaporeon and Espeon are cats, the rest are foxes.

I think Vaporeon is not a cat or a dog or a fox. I think it is like a magical water creature or something. (Whenever I read Harry Potter and it says anything about Grindylows, i think of Vaporeon), or it could be a merpet. That's just my view.

Eevee. A fox, no doubt about it. It has the foxes tail.
