What is going to be the top seller this year?

Well you all know about the WII, Xbox360, and the PS3...so what do you think the best system is and witch 1 will sell the most. I think the Xbox360 will cause HALO!!!!!!!!!!! it's such an awesome game + it has good graphics and a reasonable price. But i think the real compotetion is between the 360 and the PS3 cause they have awesome graphics, games, etc. the WII looks cool BUT does it reallt have the games to back it up?...yeah link is awesome but i think it get's knocked out of the ring...so what do you guys think?

What the hell... Wii has more games than the PS3 to back it up, for a start, it has a lot more support from developers, and if anything, the PS3 is the runt of the three. And did you forgot the price tag for the Playstation 3? You did? Omg.

Imo, the 360 will come out on top. Considering it got a headstart, and we haven't even seen the full scale of it yet. Halo 3 and Banjo Kazooie 3 are going to be on the console too, so yeah...

Also, this shouldn't be in misc, so I'm moving it to Other Videogame discussion, there are similar topics there though, you may find this closed by one of those mods. ;\

I actually think the 360 will sell the most, since it's already had several months on the market, while the Wii and PS3 will be starting fresh.

But if we compared the sales made in one year of all three of them, then I think the Wii will sell the most, and I'm not just saying that because I love Nintendo. The Wii will have more games that are appealing to children, so it'll be sought out by children, and their parents will be more willing to pay $250 then an unbelievable $600.

And I actually think the Wii will bring in more parent players, thanks in full to the Wiimote capability. If parents everywhere are just like mine, then it'll deffinately be big with them.

In the end, I only really see a few serious gamers getting a PS3. I doubt it'll sell even %10 of what the PS2 did.

I think Wii will win, because of all the people rushing out to buy it as it's so innovative. I want to add that I think Halo is the most overrated game of all time, why do so many people buy it? Oh well, 360 will be second because of it. PS3 is just to expensive, and has such limited numbers to sell well.

Well overated or not it's still a bithcen game and who cares if it's overated it's still fun.

Wii will sell the most as it's a new system with some very attractive launch offerings, the novelty factor will be there in abundance, its target audience is vast compared to the PS3 and 360, it's cheaper than the competition, and it'll have well over 1 million units out at launch, with in excess of 4 million units out by the end of this calendar year.

Next up comes 360, with its already-established installed base and a plethora of top titles out this autumn and winter. Its online service has a great rep, albeit one scarred by stupid people, it's a whole heap cheaper than the PS3 and its games look just as good (for now...).

And lastly comes the PS3. The main reason for it being in third place here is the fact that only a measly 500,000 units will be available at launch, with a projected 500,000 more by the end of December 2006. Even the DS Lite may be able to outsell it. Still, it'll sell out, though obviously this won't be enough to propel it to #1, what with the severe lack of units and all. Oh yes, and at that price it isn't going to attract anyone other than tech junkies and early adopters anyway.

Not sure if you noticed but Wii has more games at launch than PS3 has through the holiday season.
