what is the smoke around Manyula. He can't be attacking since munchlax has those oval things flying by.

Why can't it be attacking? Several attacks involve animating both Pokemon at the same time. Look at Quick Attack for an example. :/

I'm pretty sure that's a Manyula using Reversal, and by that I mean Revenge.

I made this since there could be a new part to the bttle were if it hurts the pokemon a lot or is very strong, dust and debrees fly up like they do in the anime,{i think they do}

Now what would be the point of that? Such animation is contained within the moves themselves should it be necessary.

its probably just a move that manyula learns, i mean its eyes look berserk and such but also remember, this was taken from a magazine scan, thus the smoke thing is probably from another pic cause most pics these days overlap in magazines

Manyula is using Revenge, and Munchlax is using Swallow. That's been asked before.

It could possibly be real-life animation for the sake of having things happen while you're spacing out. Or it could just be that dark-type aura that they can add. You can take a guess and I guess we can too, since more infos going to come out. By the way, those ovals are Swallow and it says that Manyula knows Bite, which is a big chunk (although not surprising) to the people waiting to buy this game.
