What is the Acro Bike trick again?

I want to breed a few Slakoth and Ralts, and I have Ruby. What exactly do you do to make them hatch faster?

Some people go and stand at the bottom of a slope (like the one above the Desert) with a Bike and (somehow) tape the "Up" of the 4-directional control pad on their Gameboy into position, so the Character keeps going up, then slides down the slope, then up the slope, then down the slope (forever) and leave it like this overnight or something. In effect, this works (even though merely a handful of people have been successful in taping the button down for more than a few seconds.)

And the next posters will probably tell you their strategies on taping this button down . Where are you, taping experts?

Oh, I guess I could just hold up for a few minutes, since the only annoying part about hatching eggs is the having to look to see if you have to turn. The Magma Armor/Flame Body don't help eggs in Ruby, do they?

Yes, they do. That's why it's always useful to have a Camerupt with you *grins* but if you have a Pokemon with Flame Body and a Pokemon with Magma Armor, you don't get 2x the effect of Magma Armor.

And if you plan on holding the button down for (*estimates*) possibly a few hours, then... good luck.

What are you talking about? The egg-hatching effects of Magma armor and Flame Body were introduced in Emerald. Nothing influences eggs to speed up their hatching in Ruby, Sapphire, FR, and LG. Though, the mudslide-and-acro bike trick doesn't work in Emerald for some reason, so that's a consolation.

As for my strategy, place something heavy on the up arrow button. Something heavy enough to press the button, yet light enough so as not to damage your gameboy. I reccomend something like a stapler. Also, something smaller rubber banded to the gameboy can be effective.

no, they don´t, the flame body thing just works in emerald, not in ruby, sapphire, fire red, leaf green.

to tap... if you have DS or GBASP, just put one little eraser in the "up" and close it. if you just have GBA, put one elastic around it and the eraser on the button.

I remembered about the sleep mode, so the close thing just works in DS, and the elastic in GBA and GBASP

Ah, if you have another little eraser put it inthe B button, running is faster than riding a bike.

You can also do what I do. Since the Daycare is on Route 117, grab a Mach Bike instead, and travel down the Cycling Road. But don't finish. Go back up and go to the Daycare. If he says that you don't have an egg, try again. Keep going until you get the egg.

It doesn't matter whether it's "bothering" people or not, it's against the rules to have one that size. You can have one that abides by the rules or you can't have one at all.
