What is the best nature for a Mudkip, bearing in mind that it will be evolved and trained to a Lvl 100 Swampert?

Thanks.

well it depends if ya want him to be physical sweeper or special sweeper if special i would have mild (+sp. attack-defense)

Swampert usually has:
Adamant (Physical)
Modest (Special)
Brave/Relaxed/Quiet/Sassy (Mixed)

That's the problem. Is it best to have him with high Special Attack for his water moves, or high Attack for his ground moves?

I'd say use a nature that takes away from his defense or maybe speed and gives to At or SpAt.

Quiet is a good nature and if you want something that owns use this moveset
Earthquake
Muddy Water
Endeavor
Ice Beam

Everyone here keeps telling me to lower his Speed in favour of attack. Will that not make him very slow and susceptible to OHKO from grass attacks?

If you are afraid of Grass Moves,go with Sassy Nature, Sawpert has high Sp.Def and Hp so monst Grass move won't OHKO him, while you hit back with Ice Beams.

Im probably gonna go for the Brave nature, + Attack and - Speed.

You reckon thats a good idea?

Do I really want to make him so slow though?
Swamperts already so slow it's not going to matter much. I use Curse/Surf, Earthquake, Ice Beam, Rest for a good moveset. You can switch out Surf for Curse because it sounds like this is in game.

I think Modest, Adament and Quiet natures are good natures for swampert

Sassy or Relaxed. Because Swampert is meant to use Curse and set up while being able to take hits, then sweep later on.

You said you want brave, okay thats fine but whats the movset.
If it will contain special attacks then go with modest.

best nature for EV-trained, competitive snorlax is either brave or quiet.

for purposes of getting through the storyline, i usually prefer mild. its special attack is lower than its physical, so it can use the boost, and more of its moves are special than are physical (ice beam and surf on the special side, just EQ for physicals). the extra speed is nice, especially when trying to be faster than the E4 dragons, and you don't generally miss the defense.

mild instead of rash, because swampert fears your rival's grovyle. leaf blade ow >.<
