Technically speaking there are only three legendaries in XY because of the difference between legendary and mythical. Though if I have to choose on of each, I'd say Yveltal and Hoopa

Xerneas is elegant, but too girly for a box cover Legendary. I wish it looked different and more gender neutral.

I personally count Mythical Pokemon as a sub-category of Legendary Pokemon, and I've seen many fans who follow that logic as well. I was always peeved regarding X/Y's lack of Gen VI Legendaries, however. Only being able to find two per game (Xerneas or Yveltal, and then Zygarde) seemed unbalanced.

Xerneas! I love deer pokemon and Xerneas looks so majestic and beautiful, I also love it's fairy typing along with the legend behind it. X's box cover art immediately drew my eye, it was just all around perfect for me.
