First gen only, what the heck? Anyway:
A Pokemon with Fly, for transportation.
One with Sweet Scent to lure pokemon.
One with Mean Look to keep the Pokemon from running away.
A Pokemon for protection.
A Surfing Pokemon.
A Pokemon with a sleep inducing move, because who wouldn't like pictures of cute little pokemon sleeping? Perfect for birthday, christmas cards etc.
And an Absol so it could warn you of disasters. (third gen pokemon hahaha).

What the... Pokemon with Mean Look screw it all... A photographer must be able to get the picture as natural as possible.. That being said, I'd say no to sweet scent as well.

Pretty much the Pokemon that Tracey had. Venonat to spot things from far away, and Marill to hear any nearby Pokemon that would make for good shots.

If we go with that the photographer should take "natural" photos, then:
A pokemon for aerial transport, like Pidgeott
One for surfing, a big one so the photographer can easly take pictures when riding it, like a Blastoise.
Screw the first gen rule, he needs a Luxray so he can see pokemon hiding or sleeping in their nest etc.
A pokemon with good hearing, I don't know any good example.
He would also need a Smeargle to paint copies of his photos so he can sell them wothout paying for anything else than a sheet.
