What moments from the games do you want in a hypothetical second season of pokemon generations?

AgentKallus

It's not a game Kate.
What moments from the main games would you want to see adapted in a hypothetical second season of pokemon generations?

Pokemon generations was a free to view series of short (4-5ish minutes) animated adaptions of moments from the Pokemon games, while most of the episodes were direct moments from games, some of the moments were more filling in gaps from the stories of the games and the first episode was an overview with short scenes from various games.

The first (and only, so far) seasons featured 3 episodes per region (well the regions that existed at that point) so taking that and which moments were made in the first series into account I have made a list of moments I'd like to see.

Kanto: The pokemon tower incident (as covered by journalist from the radio tower.), The Sevii Island Team Rocket saga, Chase/Elaine catching Mewtwo and then battling Green

Johto: The Dragon's Den, Ethan/Lyra V Red, The HGSS Celebii time travel event,

Hoenn: Helping Birch at the start of the game, Wally's perspective of the player from catching ralts to the final battle, entering and battling in the battle frontier.

Sinnoh: Exploring the Sinnoh underground, Iron Island, the Darkrai event

Unova: Ghetsis's Speech in Accumula Town, Filming at Pokéstar Studios, the Pokemon world tournament.

Kalos: The Tower of Mastery Battle, Exploring the Lost Hotel, Storytelling at the Scary house

Alola: Battleing Totem Kommo-o, Following Lusamine into Ultra space and the start of the battle with the Nihilego/Luamine Fusion , the formation of Rainbow Rocket

I'm interested in seeing which moments other people want to see so please share your ideas/ hopes below.

What I mean is the female playable characters May, Dawn and Serena.
Oh that....yeah but males main character barely play role in thar series

Pokémon as a whole is very weird to the female player characters. They’re barely ever acknowledged as canon (Rosa being a recent exception), and when they are in say, the BW2 & ORAS trailers, the males are always seen doing the Gyms and important story events while the females are just stuffed into quick shots of them battling. In Pokémon Masters and Special alone, Brendan is the ‘canon’ kid of Norman, and May is always the rival. It’s a little annoying when they don’t portray both protagonists in a fair way, especially for the Brendan/May situation when they’re both rivals depending on the gender you pick.

I think they should pick one generation and focus on it instead of adapting bits and pieces of all of them. I think the format of Origins was better than Generations. The drawback with Origins was that it was based of Gen 1 which has the least developed story and characters.

It would be better to pick a generation which focuses more on story like Gen 5 or Gen 7. Mabye Gen 3 could also work if it's based of ORAS and done right.

Gen 1-2 might appeal to older nostalgic fans but I hope they will prioritize making an anime with good characters and plot instead. If they really want to adapt the first two generations there are more gaps that need to be filled since most characters (with the exception of Silver) are very flat.

The scene where the Ultra Beasts show up in Alola via the Ultra Wormholes would probably make for a good special episode within a second Generations series. Also the scene where Lilie escapes the Aether Paradise with Hoshigumo-chan.

It's because they aim mainly for boys. And in Pokémon Special, Sapphire is equal to Ruby. She battles the gym leaders.

What a fun idea for a thread. I have some interesting ideas.

Kanto
  • Kanto 1: Celio working on the precursor to the Wi-Fi Global Network in the Sevii Isles. We see him exploring the Sevii Isles for the missing parts, Ruby & Sapphire, but hasn't had much luck. The episode cuts short when either Red or Green (Female Protagonist) entering the scene to assist on Celio's mission.
  • Kanto 2: Mr. Fuji's research on Mewtwo.
  • Kanto 3: Prof. Oak's younger days as possibly the Pokemon Champion where we see his stubborn rivalry with Agatha and other people we normally recognized as elderly folks but we now see them at the age of 11.
Johto
  • Johto 1: Koga's viewpoint as a father, ninjamaster, former Gym Leader and later Elite Four member who witnessed so many changes happening in Kanto over the two years that lead up to the events of GSC with the episode ending with Elite Four member Koga facing Gold or Krys at the Indigo League.
  • Johto 2: We see Silver trying to steal his starter Pokemon from Prof. Elm's lab only instead of bumping into Gold at the lab like the manga, he bumps into Gold or Krys on his way to Cherrygrove City like in the games.
  • Johto 3: A continuation of the Burnt Tower episode, we see the tale of Lugia where the legendary Pokemon has moved from the destroyed Brass Tower and into the Whirl Islands.
Hoenn
  • Hoenn 1: We see Archie's childhood of the time he met Jirachi which would be a nice and pleasant surprise for people who love the game and Pokemon Adventures lore.
  • Hoenn 2: We see Gym Leaders, the Elite Four and Champion Steven Stone evacuating citizens to somewhere safe during the terror that is Groudon and Kyogre's apocalytic battle.
  • Hoenn 3: We see a young Zinnia witnessing the passing of her friend Aster on her deathbed and later decides to come up with a plan to save the world from the meteor.
Sinnoh
  • Sinnoh 1: Inspired by Pokemon Adventures, one of the major things the anime got wrong about Cyrus is that they forgot that he's the first personal Pokemon villain to the player and in this short, we see Cyrus meeting the player character for the first time in Mt. Coronet, explaining his philosophy. We get flashbacks of his years from a kid to a teenager to a young man in how he not only created Team Galactic but how he became the nihilistic man who believes there's no hope for this world, a man at the top but also showing that it's quite lonely at the top. Near the end of the episode in present times, the player character doesn't quite understand what Cyrus says but the enthusiastic Lucas or Dawn still believes in the world and his or her friends and the many people they come across, believing that's what makes a person complete. In return, Cyrus also doesn't quite understand what they are saying and leaves but he leaves remembering the moment when his Golbat evolved into a Crobat. He wonders if life might be different for him had he spend less time with machines and more time making friends in his childhood.
  • Sinnoh 2: We see Volkner's life as the carefree but bored Gym Leader who constantly rennovates his Gym and sucking away Sunyshore City's electricity, irritating citizens and gym challengers whenever the Gym Leader goes missing. Volkner reminisces his past life at the gym and wonders if he should just challenge the Elite Four until Flint calls in, giving a recommendation to a certain trainer he found. Volkner doesn't have much hopes for this battle but decides that this will be his final battle as Gym Leader if it doesn't get him fired up. Volker yawns and welcomes Lucas or Dawn.
  • Sinnoh 3: Another one inspired by Pokemon Adventures, we see Cynthia in her much younger days where she's having a hard time balancing life as a Mythologist and as a Pokemon Champion but nevertheless enjoys her work. We see her explore the three lakes of Sinnoh, Stark Mountain, Spear Pillar, Snowpoint Temple, Floaroma Town, Solacean Ruins, the Fullmoon and Newmoon Islands and more. However the more she explores, the more she starts to wonder if they are just stories with almost no ounce of truth to it. Later she gets a tip from a mysterious stranger to go to the Ruins of Alph of Johto. She does and stumbles on the Sinjoh Ruins much to her surprise and joy. Cynthia happily finds enough clues there to satisfy her curiousity and then her Garchomp points something to the sky outside. She recalls the stories of her grandmother telling her about Dialga & Palkia and now she's standing outside of Sinjoh ruins seeing two comets that appear to look like the dragons, Dialga & Palkia.
Unova
  • Unova 1: We see Ghetsis revealing to Hilbert/Hilda that this whole time that N is nothing more than a puppet. Then the audience sees some flashbacks on how Ghetsis founded N, Anthea, Concordia, the Shadow Triad and the other Seven Sages. We then see N laying there on the floor heartbroken and confused while Hilbert/Hilda orders his or her starter Pokemon to land a blow to Ghetsis's Hydreigon, the short ending swiftly when his or her starter Pokemon is about to attack the fierce Hydreigon all Jotaro vs. Dio style lol.
  • Unova 2: We see Iris challenge the Unova Elite Four in order to become Pokemon Champion.
  • Unova 3: We see the Interpol attempting to arrest Colress by taking him surprise at the P2 Laboratory but it turns out he's not there. Looker investigates his notes such as his research on Genesect, Kyurem, his irritation with Ghetsis and what appears to be a mysterious offer by the Aether Foundation in Alola. Looker decides to go to Alola knowing an old friend there, Nanu. He's later informed that he has a new boss named Anabel who Looker remembers from an incident.
Kalos
  • Kalos 1: We see Red's rival Blue (Green in Japan) exploring the Kalos region for his studies, meeting various figures including Diantha. Interesting trivia, it's believed that rival Blue and Diantha are actually around the same age!
  • Kalos 2: We explore the reason why AZ kept the key that unlocks the power of the Ultimate Weapon rather than destroying it this whole time. The most likely reason may shock you when AZ explains his thoughts on Team Flare but also relieve you when AZ shackles off his burden after witnessing Calem's or Serena's deeds.
  • Kalos 3: We see the stylish spies that is Sina & Dexio encounter the protagonists and gather intel on Team Flare. Later they are given a new mission by Sycamore about Zygarde's mysterious reappearance in the Alola region, believing a far bigger world-shattering threat is happening if Zygarde has appeared in the Alola region.
Alola
  • Alola 1: We see Guzma attempting to take on the Island Challenge but loses to the point that he has had enough in how he does not fit in with other citizens of Alola, including how he does not fit with his own parent's vision for him. Eventually he meets Lusamine, the first person who acknowledges his battling talents much to his surprise.
  • Alola 2: We see Mohn working on Poke Pelago. He's not sure how he got here, why he's so eager to helping Pokemon but he's doing it because he seems to love it however every time he goes to sleep in his small lonely cottage, he feels like something is missing, that he's forgetting something very important to him, his family which he doesn't remember. He later visits the Aether Foundation after hearing how much care they are doing for Pokemon and meets Lusamine who drops all her paper work, surprised to see her husband or someone who looks exactly like her husband. The short ends shortly after Lusamine remains silent while Mohn is completely clueless on her behavior, introducing himself and reaching out his hand as if they met for the first time.
  • Alola 3: We see the ancestors of the Ultra Recon Squad attempting to take control of Necrozma through force and violence only for this to completely backfire and cause Necrozma to eat every source of light he can find, thinking it will heal his wound from his encounter with the Ultra Recon Squad's ancestors. Necrozma keeps on doing this until all light, except for artificial light, disappears in Ultra Space and even after all that, Necrozma's wounds don't heal. Now it's today and we see the Ultra Recon Squad watching the main character, Elio or Selene, walking towards the tower, wondering what he or she will do? Destroy Necrozma or find another way?

It would be interesting to know more about the Pokémon Generations version of Colress since he seemed a lot more sinister than his game counterpart.

Then he shows up in Sun and Moon and seems to have some knowledge about the multiverse and betrays Ghetsis for unknown reasons.

Mabye he is just inconsistent between the adaptions but he seems to have some sort of hidden agenda?

I wonder why both player characters can’t co-exist together in the anime. I can see obvious examples like Dawn and Lucas who resemble each other but what about Rosa and Nate? May and Brendan? They don’t have to both be in Ash’s friend group but they could have a feature besides a movie cameo.

The whole Delta Episode plot needs a proper animated version because it was skipped and we got those two Mega Evolution specials about Mega Rayquaza instead which just wasn't as good.

I always wanted Higana to appear in the main series, so her potentially appearing in a second Generations series would be great. Another OR/AS subplot that I'd like to see explored in a second Generations series is Mitsuru's storyline about his illness and journey to the Battle Resort.
