You are free to say you want to stay in the same country too (just select your country of origin). Sorry, I tried the best to include as much of the world I could in the options but this planet is incredibly diverse. Keep in mind the options were chosen from the geographic perspective of an American.

Current Nation: United States
Wishful Nation: Canada

Why: I have a love/hate relationship with my birth country. The United States and the common citizen are too selfish, religious, meddling, and lackadaisical in my observations. It shows in our political structure and our culture.

I have always been a mixture of collectivist and individualist, a mixture of socialist and capitalist. Healthcare should be run by the free market over my dead body. I rather be around more people who are non-religious and have a government run by a larger percentage of people who are non-religious.

Canada, as a whole, seems to fit who I am as a person and what I believe a government should be, do, and provide. Plus, the cold climate and less international meddling helps my perception of it too.

And, alongside a reduced quality of life citizens are having with severe income inequality, our freedoms are being taking away too in the states.

NOTE:

Let's not attack other people's perspectives on their countries and other countries. Humans will never have the complete picture.

By all means, if you are a native and want to correct some incorrect preconceptions people have about your homeland, feel free to do so.

Just do so respectfully is all.

I tend to see the negative in a country so I don't really have any desire to move permanently. Having grown up in Germany there are plenty of elements in, say, US culture that I wouldn't be willing to endure. One of them being the high amount of religious nutjobs(please don't take this as me saying all religious people are nutjobs, there are plenty perfectly sane and civlized people of faith - for many people leaving logic behind seems to be part of having religious belief though), another one being the guncrime etc. When I do have an interest in a country it's mainly for the landscape and language. And ideally I wouldn't like to be jailed for being gay. Hello Russia.
I plan to spend a short time in Mid-East Asia sometime in the near future and would like to move to a slightly warmer region of Europe. I do definitely want to stay within the EU long-term given our politicians don't **** it up even more than they already have.

I'm not trying to paint the picture of Germany as some superior place here, it most certainly isn't, we are having about a million issues. I just have yet to find a country I prefer living in. I used to want to move to the UK but recent political developments there scream 1984 to me a tad too much. The only place I could realistically see myself ending up in within the next few years right now would be Budapest.
I am planning to travel most parts of the world sooner or later. With Tibet being on the top of my wish-list.

Statistically, you are correct. There are a higher number of religious fundamentalists (Christians) in the United States than in most countries in the EU. Still, they make up a small portion of the population and tend to be heavily concentrated in a few states (called the bible belt) and there are other states that are more like the EU in terms of reliousity (California, Washington, Oregon, Massachusetts).

The problem is when these fundamentalists have infiltrated the Republican party.

I should have probably specified that I was mainly talking about the influence those fundamentalist have on politics, media and general public attitude rather than their statistical prevelance. If I visit the US anytime soon I will keep far away from the bible belt. Coming from an area filled with mainly atheists and having agnostic beliefs myself I cannot deal with the substitution of logical thinking with blind belief, it breeds ignorance too easily.

Wish to move to : America :3

I've always wanted to go to America Carlifonia - L.A. It just seems a really nice place to me and because my idol is there and I'd wish to spam her so I could get an autograph e.e

Otherwise I'd wish to go to Uk, they say English people are very quick to be friends with :3. That's nice right?

And the last place I want to move to... Well mire visiting actually, I don't think I'd wanna live there. Id wish to go to Japan. I love the language nd I wanted to learn more out it, but watching anime is not getting me that far as in fluently speakin it xD. That aside, the air in Japan is probably also very fresh, my parents told me that it was a clean country like Singapor.

I currently attend university in southern California, and I visit L.A. all the time. I've been living here my whole life really, but I originally come from Massachusetts and New Hampshire which I consider my state my origin. While this isn't my area due to the heat and high air pollution (I have asthma), I can answer any questions if you'd like. The people seem pretty decent down here and friendly.

Japan as a whole may have clean air, but Tokyo(and let's face it, Tokyo IS the international representation of Japanese modern life) has a history of air pollution. Maybe not as badly as, say, New York, but the sheer amount of people living in the area does cause a fair amount of pollution. Apparently it improved a lot in the last couple years though. Nowadays I wouldn't expect clean air in ANY region that isn't rural to be honest. Even Berlin, one of the world's greenest cities, does have notable air pollution in the city centre.

Current Nation: england
Wishful Nation: russia, germany, japan, indonesia, nepal, netherlands or turkey.

Why: as you can see i have a lot of places i want to go. i used to live in asia (nepal and indonesia) until i was 9 and to me, england is very boring. my fater lived in both germany and japan and i have always wanted ot go to germany because of the culture and interesting composers and history, i love classical music, especially beethoven. russia because, just because. i dont know why, it seems like a very nice place with extreams of weather. netherlands because all my mates are half dutch. i love cycling and apparently its a good place for it. indonesia and nepal because they are where my heart lies. japan because it seems like a really interesting place. i am not ott obsessed with it now, like i used to (ugh. the weeaboo days... bad memories) but its history seems really interesting... plus i love technology and computers, what better place to go than one of the most technologically advanced places in the world? in genral though, i just want to move. i hate england, its kinda a love-hate thing. the people i hate most are there yet i have so much to be proud of being a born brit (i was moved to asia at the age of 2 months) plus, we are all really friendly here, well, most (not the people in wolverhampton. i dont like my home town.). but aborard is so much more interesting. i prefer it.

What's with the Australia hating?

Where has anyone said anything bad about Australia? One of my favorite animals comes from Australia. There are excellent local dishes I have tried out before.

Besides the coasts, the climate is too hot and dry for my health. That is why I'd never consider moving there.

Current Place: NY, USA.

Wish to move to: Italy.

Why: Well, I don't see why not, because first & most importantly, I was born there (Venice) for crying out loud & it's a really beautiful city & I would love to go back there & see how much it has changed. Another reason I would love to move ( or in my case, move back to) Italy is because of the culture in general, it fits me perfectly, allow me to explain in further detail. Their fashion is absolutely fabulous ( I have a few accessories from there myself). As you may know, Italy is home to some of the most famous artists ever & I like to draw, paint, etc. in my spare time, so that's almost TOO obvious. Next, obviously is Italy's famous cuisine, as I can make a variety of Italian dishes & beverages. Finally, Italy has a rich history & several famous landmarks, my favourite being The Colosseum in Rome.

When did you last visit Venice? I went last year and it was one of the most disgustingly dirty and smelly cities I have ever visited. The one place I hated in Italy. Expensive food(the city is purely tourism now, most locals not affiliated with tourism have left), rude locals, very easy to get lost in and that smell...the city has the potential to be beautiful but nowadays is a shithole. Quite literally. The entire city smells of it. I wish I could have seen it a few centuries ago.

What do I do now?
I just put the US, because I really like where I live. I love the nature, the people, the opportunities, and what not. I wouldn't mind living in Japan or England though. : ) I'm just very happy here, it's not perfect by any means, but I'm satisfied.

And I get to in a month! Over to Nova Scotia. The Atlantic atmosphere should be fun.

Currently living: The middle of nowhere, USA
Want to live: My own island.

Because to heck with living anywhere already established, I'd build my own floating country. Kinda like this guy did.

Best of all; no rules, and no annoying neighbors.

My post is pretty similar to, although not exactly like, the one above mine.

I currently live in the US. If I were to move anywhere civilized, it would probably be Canada. I can't say I idealize any nation, though, as they all have their own brands of hypocrisy and prejudice.

Ideally, I'd move to an uninhabited island, or somewhere outside of any country's domain. Individuals can be all well and good, but leaving society behind doesn't sound too terrible. Granted, there are countless things one would need to worry about when forgoing most modern technological advances.

I live in Illinois in the US.

I'd like to live in Europe (specifically the UK, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, or Spain), Canada, Australia, or New Zealand. All of these countries have amazing scenery (that's not to say that the US is boring; just the area that I grew up in all my life). Then again, their governments don't particularly draw to me, but neither has the US as of recently. I will be studying abroad in Scotland in a month for a semester, so I am really excited for that, even after the recent restrictions on porn :p

There are other countries like Japan, southeast Asia, and Argentina that I would like to visit, but I wouldn't want to live in because of living standards and the insane language barrier. Not to mention Japan's insane xenophobia, although I might be alright since I've heard that Japanese people like redheads...
