What next generation hints have there been through out the Manga?

In the R/B/G and Yellow series, what 2nd generation Pokemon were seen?
In the G/S/C series, what 3rd generation Pokemon were seen?
and in R/S, Emerald, and FR/LG, has there been any sign of 4th generation Pokemon?

where was a Kecleon? I remember the Snubbull, the Lugia, the Wynaut and the Azurill... where there any early Marill showings?

Well there is still that prediction that Silvers Sneasel will evolve at some point. Afterall, Greens Scyther did

but didn't these hints come up waaaaaay late in the arcs? The manga isn't like the anime, in which it'll show a preview Pokemon like two years in advanced. The silhouetted Lugia and Blue bringing up her Bulu only occured at the very end of the Yellow arc, not long before Gold/Silver's release. Likewise, the Houen region was never mentioned until Crys made the assumption that she completed the Pokedex at the very end of The Final Battle.

Although... considering Yellow had the Rainbow and Silver Feathers on her hat all along, the main characters just happen to have several Pokemon that would be given new evolutions in the next generation (Green's Strike and Porygon, Silver's Nyula), and the whole issue with Silver trying to find his parents, I am left to wonder how far in advance they plan these storylines, considering these small points stretch out all the way into the next generation's story arc.

Well as Giovanni is on his way to Viridian to find Silver, it can't be long before Silver finds out who is father is. I'm more curious as to whether Giovanni was the Head of Team Rocket before or after Silver was taken. I'm still going by my threory that Giovanni formed TR in order to find his son (the creation of Mewtwo, Deoxys etc)

When did we find out that Green spent some of his childhood in Johto. Was it towards the end of R/G/B?

RBG: No 2nd Generation Pokemon were revealed
Yellow: Snubull and Lugia
GSC: Azurill, Wynaut and Kecleon. There were some small pictures of them being one of the many Pokemon who appeared in Azalea Town to help Blue, Red and Green fight Lugia and Ho-Oh. Hoenn Pokemon were also seen at the end of GSC.
RSE, FRLG, BF: None revealed, but it is possible that Silver's Sneasel may be given an evolution, but that is not confirmed, as how Sneasel evolves to Manyula is still not known.
