What pokes need:

Pinsir needs an evo (not necessarily better stats, just better distribution) or a better movepool(i.e. give it something that Heracross and Scizor don't have). Either of the two will do fine.

Yes, Absol needs something. Crunch, or an evo with better stat distribution/better stats.
