What should I get?

I some spare cash (I am saving most of it for D/P) and I was wondering if I should get Emerald or Leaf Green (my brother has FR). I want to complete my pokedex so I am guessing Leaf green would be better ,but I heard that Emerald has alot of new stuff aswell (jhoto starters etc.).

What should I get, also both isn't an option as like I stated before I am spending only spare cash.

I'd get Emerald, there is more stuff to do. You can get LG at a later date.

emerald is much, much better than leaf green.

everstone breeding and corrected IV inheritance if you're interested in breeding.

battle frontier if you want exclusive tutor moves and challenging in-game battles.

a wider selection of pokemon, as well as better starters.

more legends, better ubers.

better bike.

not having to worry about completing your pokedex to get key items.

etc.

and, since your brother has FR, you'll be able to complete each others pokedexes a lot more if you get emerald.

I think Emerald is better, because of the Battle Frontier that prevents you from being bored.
And also, Emerald has more Johto Pokemon that unobtainable in another series, including Sunflora;192;

I think that you should get Emerald! =D That way, you'd get more Pokemon on your Pokedex and you could also do the battle frontier!

They're both good. If you're looking for one that'll last you more than a few hours after beating the Elite Four, go for Emerald. As everyone says, there's more to do than Emerald.

...Although I believe Kanto is better than Hoenn. To each their own, however.

I guess it Emerald im gettting. The Jhoto starters and sunflora swayed me over. Sunflora was one of my favorite 2nd generation pokemon.

If I were you I'd get Emerald. The Battle Frontier is awesome. But if you loved the 1st generation games alot, then get Leaf Green.

I voted LG simply because I prefer Kanto and its Pokemon. I also think that Emerald is highly overrated since it is the newest GBA game. In my honest opinion, I don't think the Battle Frontier is all its cracked up to be.

Edit: Also on LG it's easy to train your Pokemon against the Second Wave E4.

Both are good. Being a huge fan of the original game and of the Kanto region, I'm going to say Leaf Green, but Emerald does have a lot of good and exclusive features.
