• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.
  • Hi all. We had a couple of reports of people's signatures getting edited etc. in a bad way. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and nobody has compromised any of our databases.

However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar passwords to elsewhere which has been accessed, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

We always recommend using unique passwords, and two-factor authentication if you are able. Make sure you're as secure as possible

What slipped past you?

Have you ever played a pokemon game, to realise in about 5-6 years later that you completely missed something?
I just realised that staryu and starmie have 'you' and 'me' sounds at the end of their names.
It's funny when you think back and nostalgia over how you could possibly miss that XD
I also have a habbit of pronouncing names of the towns wrong deliberately to make them sound cooler (but that's just my excuse for reading the title too fast :p) I used to call ecruteak city 'eucrutek' as in 'you-kroo-tek'.

So tell me Serebii.net forums, what slipped past you?

I never noticed that the legendary birds had spanish numbers in their names until a few months ago. Artic(UNO), Zap(DOS), and Mol(TRES).

Khamul

Fail Meister
I misread Pacifidlog town as Pacifildog for some reason.
I only realized that around a year ago, when I actually bothered to read the town name.

Ha-ha! I'm the same! XD

Also /though this is related to the Anime and not to the games/ I only recently realised that Ash's last name is a pun. Ketchum...catch'em... x3 I just never paid it any mind.

I didn't realise there was a d in Pacifidlog until I beat Rayquaza.

So from my first visit to beating Rayquaza I called it Pacifilog

Mr. Joker

keep calm & carry on
Kanto has been in every gen. A friend pointed it out to me.

Well I just learned something new XD

I always called it and thought it said Pacificlog Town, never noticed that D in there before. I'll just remain calling it Pacificlog because it sounds better and makes more sense to me.

I never knew there were regi's. I knew it after I played emerald for a half year.

Not the games so much (though I have a habit of mispronouncing pokemon names, then not changing how I pronounce them when corrected), but I didn't understand the origin of Ash's last name for a bit of time. Dang, I thought that was silly when I did.

Finneon slightly confused me. At first, it sounded to me like the name of an eeveelution. Then I noticed that it was meant to be named after a neon tetra. Kecleon, however, I never mistook for an eeveelution's name.

I used to pronounce the names of some Pokemon incorrectly, getting the latter in the wrong order (Lucidolo, Carnahva, Megnaium)
