What Strategy will Ash use when he faces Paul at the Pokemon League?

Why did you bump this thread OP? It died like a month and a half ago. :/

Anyway, so as not to completely spam...

After the gym battle, and seeing the number of reserves competing, I really see the Sinnoh League being chock-a-block with one hit KOs all over the place just like the other leagues. So there's probably not much room for strategy. We'll probably see Counter Shield, Spin Dodging, and maybe EB consumption in Torterra if we're lucky. Unless we get the random last minute adaptation like Charizard Vs Blastoise, but that's the best we can hope for.

I'd really like to see a Torterra (Ash) vs. Torterra (Paul) fight, just to see which one is best trained.

Theoretically a good idea but if Ash's Torterra beats Paul's that is seriously wrong and would be quite unsatisfactory. Paul's Torterra is like Ash's Pikachu - only Paul's Torterra is actually fully evolved. Paul's Torterra has to lose either to Buizel's Ice Punch (after it has already taken damage), or to a combined effort on the whole team's behalf. Ash's Torterra straight-up beating Paul's would be cheap.
