OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH! FINALLY! AFTER YEARS AND YEARS, THE CROSSBELL GAMES FROM THE TRAILS OF SERIES ARE FINALLY GETTING LOCALIZED AAAAAAAHHHHH!
This is cool, but on the other hand, Hajimari/Reverie is now going to be released three years out from its Japanese date, and who knows how long of a window Kuro will have now (since they'd have to release it a year after Hajimari just to keep the three years, but the games have mostly taken two years -- meaning Kuro could take four or more). I'd rather them keep the series as current as possible, so I don't have to futilely attempt to avoid spoilers for literally years, especially since Zero/Azure had multiple fan translations already. Of course, I don't understand why it takes 2-3 years to localize them in the first place, as I can't think of any other active series that takes anywhere near that long.
NEO: TWEWY, the D/P remakes, and Tales of Arise! NieR ReIncarnation too, if that counts as a video game (moba, but still counts I think lol)
I am so incredibly excited for NEO: TWEWY you have no idea.. Played the game when it came out in 2008 and it's been had such a huge role in my teenage years and helped me fight a lot of tough stuff.
I agree, TWEWY is amazing, and easily in my top 5 all-time games. Still, as much as I want to, I don't think I can get NEO on release, given how many stinkers Square-Enix has put out in the last decade, so I'll have to wait a bit and see the reception it gets. (Especially given their stunt with that countdown a few years back that ended up being the phone version of TWEWY or whatever.)
Tales of Arise is probably the next game I'll get on day 1, though. It's just a shame, because I've bought the past few Tales games' special editions, but Arise's is almost $200. Considering I don't even care about the crap they come with, and mostly bought them to support the games, that's just too steep a price.
