I'm workin on Magna Carta: Tears of Blood right now. For those of you who don't know about it, its an RPG for the PS2. The battle system is free-roaming and extremely unique. It kinda bugged me at first but now that I've got it, the game has good characters and a good storyline.

Been making my way through the Resident Evil games. Finished Leon A and Claire B in RE2 the other day and just finished RE3. Onwards to RE4 (I have the OG 4 but I'll play that after clearing my Switch backlog)

Pokopia. I’m taking my time playing it since getting the game on Friday. Yesterday was the first day I only booted up the game for a couple of minutes to check in on something. I just unlocked Bleak Beach on Sunday amd am now working on building myself a home in that area.

Well that didn't take long. Not really anyway. I finished Bayonetta (1) on my Switch 2 to my liking. The first thing you should know... is that I played it on Easy because of it's 'Tough' difficulty listing on GameFAQs. I didn't want to be overly stressed or frustrated with the game. Play it however you want if you choose to do so.

There isn't much for me to say about this game in all honesty. So, again, take that however you want. Angels are the enemies in this game. That's unique and doesn't tend to happen. It does happen but not all that much. I also like touching on 'religious' type stuff like witches, sages, etc. but that may not be for everyone obviously. The 'villain monologues' constantly getting interrupted by Bayonetta was honestly great and hilarious and I loved the hell out of that and which stuff like that would be done more honestly lol. It's an extremely fun game don't get me wrong. I had a lot of fun playing the game and it was even very funny and humorous at times. It's just another... 'gameplay heavy' game. It's strongly carried by its gameplay in other words. The story and characters are... fine. They are there. There just isn't much to say about them. It's another 'amnesiac' story which is fine and doesn't really become good until near the end of the game. Character development is there but only for like three characters and it's basically the 'bare minimum' so to speak. None of this is necessarily bad and I'm not saying it's bad. There just isn't much to be said about them either (story or characters) and it's not outstanding or amazing but it's not terrible either. I'd personally say... it's a little above average (not meh or mid either). Like I said... 'gameplay heavy' game.

It's also very 'fanservice-y' (it's an anime term). Basically... lots of sexual shots of a female protagonist even during gameplay. So... that's a thing. It's also why this is one of the games/franchises that gets the 'gooner game' label by some. Yeah I don't really want to say much else here lol. You may or may not be attracted to certain female characters.

You can easily tell how dated the graphics are but it was a PS3/X360 era game. It just shows. It didn't personally bother me but it was 'jarring' to me at times with the 'still shot' and 'film reel' esque cutscenes at times. I'm just saying. I'm too used to current generation graphics I guess.

A couple of things that I need to 'point out' here. First... the game is basically one-way and extremely linear. 'On rails' so to speak. But it's not like I was expecting an open world game. This is just something that is complained about CONSTANTLY anymore so I'm mostly just pointing it out and letting everyone know. Did this personally bother me? Not really I'm just pointing it out/letting everyone know basically. The game is too short if you ask me. It took me 11 to 12 hours to finish to my liking. That's too short I'm sorry. Sometimes I can forgive this. But it's not like I didn't point out that Stray or OneShot weren't short. They very much were. But if other things can make up for it... I can sort of 'not care' or 'let it slide' or however you want to put it. This... unfortunately wasn't the case here. But feel however you want obviously.

Yeah I can't say anything else. It's the first game of a franchise and I can't, and shouldn't, judge a game off of one game letting alone it's first game of a franchise. We'll see how I feel about the other games when I play them eventually, which I still fully intend on doing. If I have to play them on Easy as well? So be it. But, despite what it may seem, I did have fun with this game. It just... doesn't have much else to speak of outside of it's extremely fun gameplay but that's just how I feel obviously and everyone will feel differently.

Next up (which I've technically already started) is Kirby's Return to DreamLand Deluxe. Switch port of the Wii game of the same name (except without Deluxe). There won't be much for me to say about this game either because it's literally the same game with some new stuff. With these short games... I'll be getting to Octopath Traveler 2 and FF16 before I know it. Good god.

Just picked up Potion Permit from Epic Games for free. Been wanting to try this one out. It's pretty fun so far. Also did some soft resetting in Pokemon Leaf Green.

I finished Kirby's Return to DreamLand Deluxe to my liking. There really isn't much to say here. It's pretty much the same game, a port, with some new stuff and extra content.

Which is exactly what it is. It's literally the same game. With a couple of new copy abilities (Sand, Festival and Mecha), lots of mini-games (meh) a mini-game amusement park (still meh) and an extra game mode where you play as Magolor.

The Magolor Extra Mode... is fine. Mostly. I had an okay time with it. I just really didn't like the 'ranking' and or 'score' mode for it at the end of each of the levels and the bosses. I never like that kind of stuff. It's fine in the Sonic franchise because it's practically a staple of the franchise. Yeah not so much for Kirby and honestly it just feels like it doesn't 'fit' but that's just the way I feel I guess. Not even sure what the ending is supposed to imply or if Magolor learned his lesson or not (somehow I doubt it).

Either way the game was fine. Onwards to Octopath Traveler II. Being played on my Nintendo Switch 2.

Taking a break from Resident Evil to play the Silent Hill 2 remake, I've never played the original so I don't really have a good frame of reference. But I love the atmosphere. I've just met Maria after that first boss fight, took me multiple attempts because I kept hitting it instead of shooting from a distance lmao

I’m having a blast playing Pokopia! The only other game releasing this year that I plan on getting is Tomodachi Life Living the Dream. I loved the 3DS game and I really like how much more freedom there is creating new Miis this time around and that you can even choose dating and gender preferences. I’m going to be making so many Drag Race Queens!
