First game I got was Red, because it had Charizard on the front. :S

Yellow, my first pokemon experience was with the anime, so the joy of having a pikachu chase you around everywhere was just too much of a temptation :}

Yellow was the first game i owned... It was a christmas present... along with the gameboy colour... the first game i actually bought was gold, then crystal, then ruby, then firered, then emerald, and then pinball RS

Really and truly
I got Yellow first, having been inspired by the Animé to start off on my own Pokémon journey and all with a stupid sewer rat trailing me. It was a good, fun game, though now, even though I still think the game was pretty good, I can't stand the fact that Pikachu became so popular it needed its own game. Stupid mouse.

When the craze started I didn't get the concept of Pokemon and disliked it. I got a Gold version for a birthday present and now I like Pokemon. Then I bought a Crystal version at a garage sale then I bought Ruby with my own money. Never even played Blue, Red, or Yellow.

Blue version.
I still remember the day I went into Wal-Mart around 6, and choosing between Blue and Red version. I couldn't decide, so I just went with Blue. XD
I didn't quite understand Pokemon back then since I was just a little kid, but I grew into it anyway.

Blue, when the games were first released. I still remember my mommy and daddy putting it on layaway for me when I was little, and the only way I could get it was if I did good that grading period in school. ;_;

I miss being a child. ;____________;

Blue. My older brother got Red, and we didn't want our games getting confused with each other.

Yellow, I was 5 when I bought it. I think I said something like: "Mommy, thats the one where Pikachu follows you around!11!oneone11!"

I got Red, Blue, and Yellow all on the same day along with my Purple see-through Game Boy Color. I think it was on my birthday in '99.

Sadly I lent Red to one of my friends back in August 3rd, 2004. I eventually got my GBA that I let him borrow - but his mentally ill brother probably destroyed Red or something else happened to it. I haven't seen my friend since October 2004 - and he used to be my best friend (he was 2 years younger) - but oh well. I guess I can always buy a new Red Version but from where -_-;

my first pokemon game was the blue version... but how I got it was unusual...

my dad got it from co-worker who's son was only 4 and was too young to play it... my dad thought it was for the NES that I borrowed from a neighbour at the time...

when he realized that it was a gameboy game, I kept it dispite not having a gameboy!

so a week or so later I bought one and I've had that game ever since...
