When I first got my Yellow version, I didn't catch any pokemon until really late in the game, when I caught a Diglett to beat Lt. Surge

The first pokemon that I caught was a mankey at like level 6 or 7
Great pokemon and I kept him for the whole game, They grow up so fast lol one minute he was my little mankey then turned into a primeape lol

lol this seems strange but the first pokemon I ever caught was in Red Version and it was a pikachu xD! I didnt understand the method of catching pokemon, then my friend showed through his game, then when i tried it in my game, I ran in to a pikachu in Viridian Forest! Only got it to lvl 27 though i think ;025;

I got into the series fairly late, so my first game was Fire Red. Of course, like most, Pidgey was the first I caught.

My 1st ever capture was a level 3 Pidgey on Red, because i needed a pokemon that could learn fly, and that was the 1st one that i found.

I can't remember too well, but I'm sure it was Pidgey, since I didn't like Rattata as much even back then. XP

The first Pokemon I captured would have to be Rattata in my Gold version. I remember when I first was playing my Gold version I was annoyed at all the Pokemon appearing in the route to the left of New Bark Town, but my brother told me I would need more Pokemon to have a better chance at beating trainers and overall, the game. I ran away from a Pidgey but then went back to see what Pokemon I could capture, and I stumbled upon Rattata and caught it.
