What was the very 1st Pokemon that you've known?

Primal Crusader V

Watch some MANime
Squirtle is what introduced me into Pokemon. Pikachu? Back in those days I was confused between Pikachu and Kirby, I really didn't like Pikachu too much. None of the other Pokemon caught my interest, mostly because I really didn't know about them. Magnemite was another Pokemon that introduced me. Sometimes I look back fondly of how I was introduced to Pokemon. It was such good days in my early childhood.

Pikachu, I will always remember the very first time I got Pokemon Yellow in Christmas of 98' That was a pretty fun when I first battled against Gary's Eevee and struggled against Brock. Good times.

Caterpie was the first to introduce me, after I watched the ep Ash Catches A Pokemon. Squirtle and Bulbasaur came next, followed by Pikachu.

If you mean the first pokemon I ever obtained, then Bulbasaur, way back in Blue. Even though I am a Fighting Pokemon Specialist, I still love Bulbasaur.

However, if you mean the first Pokemon I ever saw, then, surprisingly, Hitmonlee. I recall sitting on my bed, eating carrots and reading my Ren and Stimpy comic books. On one of the opposite advertisment pages, I saw these two boys with the old grey gamebricks trading these little creatures back and forth. There were other Pokemon there, but Hitmonlee is the one who caught my attention, and the only one I remember in that advert.

Strange that Hitmonlee is my least favorite of the Hitmontrio.

It was either caterpie, pikachu or charmander. (hooray for charmander, the first pokémon I played with in-game!)

I think the first card i got was a blastoise, so i always liked water types. but i think the first pokemon i had in a game was a grovyle. my brother was about halfway through sapphire when my mum decided to get another copy for me, but this time Ruby. my brother preffered the idea of a huge rocky red thing for some reason so left me with Sapphire, always had a fondness for Grovyle and its evolution chain since, that and the hoenn region.

Okay.. First Pokémon I've EVER seen is.. Dugtrio (what a shame). I got a card from boys and I hated it, so I gave it back to them, because I liked My Little Ponies way more than Pokémon. I remember thinking about "freaky boy stuff".

^ That happened when I was 5. And I still hate Dugtrio. They are ugly.

The first pokemon to appear in the anime: Nidorino and Gengar. Season 1 Episode 1, the very first. I became a fan of pokemon because of the anime.

The Kanto starters. I can remember looking in a nintendo magazine and seeing them spread out across a page with their "pro's and con's" listed and just really liking the look of the creatures and really wanting to play the game.

I think it was Pikachu. I saw a preview in Nintendo Official Magazine UK for a game that was then named "Pikachu Genki Dechu". It would later be translated to "Hey You Pikachu" but was never released in England due to what I believe was a problem that the microphone had with picking up accents other than those in America. When I read the preview for this game, I don't think I had yet heard about the Pokemon franchise but nonetheless I was still fascinated by Pikachu (I remember pronouncing him Pick-a-shoe at the time lol).

I was then introduced to the franchise through the same magazine, which distributed a mini comic strip of Pokemon! I Choose You! as a free gift. Of course, Pikachu was the star of the episode in question and so I would say that it was the mascot of the franchise who gave me my first exposure to Pokemon.

Well, for me, since I started playing the games first, it would be the Kanto starters: Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle. Then it's Pikachu. I went into the series.
