What was your favorite Gym Battle and Contest in the Hoenn Region?

Gym battle would have to be the Winona ep. Swellow vs. Swellow was amazing.

Contests i dont find great, but i guess the first one with Harly.

Winona for sure. That battle was awsome and well planned out.

Fortree City gym, hands down. I wasn't too crazy about Pikachu vs. Pelipper (boring much?), but the other two battles were fantastic. Grovyle's agility and Swellow's aerial adventures is a combination that doesn't fail to impress, and coupled with the stylised artwork that made all the attacks look really intense...well, it's obvious you have a winner on your hands.

As for Contests, Fallabour (how do you spell it kids!) town was easily the best in terms of battling. The first time Haruka managed to show that she could think up a great strategy on the spot, with some excellent move combinations from two decent pokémon. And of course, kickass animation.
...Lilycove comes in a close second however! Huzzah for white meat.

I loved the Tate & Liza battle, although it was interupted by TR for the most part. I would have preferred that Ash and Tate & Liza battled on the original space themed battle field, but it doesn't matter. It was still a great battle, especially the birth of golden Swellow!!

Alan is my choice for Gym Battle. Water Pokemon is so elegant^^
Contest: Pacifidog -> A little Skitty knocked out both Jynx and Houdoom

it's funny how people here love the winona battlle to death, but people over at gamefaqs were showing nothing but disdain for this episode mainly due to the fact that Swellow seemed to pull off as they put it " a severe cheap*** win." I liked that battle too but it wasn't my favorite, mine would have to be Norman's all because of the abilities, and of course Max acting like a brat (i loved that scene with a passion.) as for contests, i'd say lilicove, all because of Combusken's uniqeness.

Gamefaqs is known for its crazed fanboys though.

I'd have to say either the Juan or Winona ones were the best. Brawly's matches were pretty good too.

Hoenn Contest would either be the Pacidfiglog Town one, the Medicham one, or "Win lose or Drew."

Hello...everyone knows which gym battle I choose *looks down* Adan of course! Then would be a tie between Fortree and Lavaridge (the fact that Pikachu got its rear handed to it was enough alone).

Contest...My favorite one was the one with Grace (is that Fallarbor Town?)...followed by Harley's debut.

Favorite gym battle- It's a tossup between the Flannery one (great backstory for her) and the Norman one (great final dramatic scene with Max)

My favorite battle from Hoenn would have to be the battle with Juan. It was so exciting...and Swellow diving underwater just topped the cake. I lurv that bird. <33
My absolute favorite contest would have to be the GF episodes, but more specific for battles, the May and Drew battle. It was also extremely exciting. My favorite part had to be when Combusken got one up of Flygon and swiped it right in the face. The first time I saw it I was like, "woah!" Amazingness.

Gym battle: The one against Adan. Probably the only gym battle I actually paid really close attention to. I actually found it exciting, despite my dislike of gyms. Certainly threw me for a loop.

Contest: Does the Grand Festival count as one giant contest? Cause anything with Harley, Robert, and Shuu in the same place wins in my book. <3 If not, I'd go with Izabe/Harley's first contest. It was the turning point for my involvement with the Pokemon fandom. ^.^
