What Was Your Oddest Theme Team?

Always itching for more of a challenge from my Pokemon games, I've been experimenting with some odd Team themes.

In Silver I won with an all Single-form team:
L90 Dunsparce (my biggest pokemon to this day)
L84 Tangela
L75 Corsola
L75 Aerodactyl
L75 Misdreavus
L75 Murkrow

In Crystal version I went with my first basically all-Legendary team:
L82 Raikou
L79 Tyranitar
L77 Suicune
L76 Entei
L75 Lugia
L70 Ho-oh
L62 Togetic (HM slave)

In Sapphire I finished it with my Silly team:
L68 Mawile "Tuffy"
L65 Castform "Puffy"
L60 Spinda "Dizzy"
L60 Nosepass "Blocky"
L60 Luvdisc "Fishy"
L61 Swellow "Chirpy"

Presently I just beat LeafGreen with a Mono-Fighting team:
L71 Hitmonchan "Chan Lee"
L71 Primeape "Kongster" (basically my starter pokemon from Route 22 near Viridian City)
L70 Poliwrath "Riptide"
L70 Machamp "Muscles"
L14 Krabby (CUT, SURF, STRENGTH, ROCK SMASH slave)
L12 Bellsprout (CUT, FLASH slave)
L5 Pidgey (FLY slave)

Misty's Gym was my only defeat so far since all I had at that time was an uncontrollable L28 Primeape who liked to beat his brains out in most battles. At L49 my Machamp took Sabrina's team down fairly quickly with no worries. But being weak against Poison-types Koga's big Muk was a bit of a problem for me. Blaine was a breeze, except for that one lucky Fire Blast KO he got. "Kongster" & "Riptide" put the beat-down on Giovanni's Nidoking & queen-Earthquake terrors.
Ran my L66 Team successfully through the Elite Four (and Dale) on my first try with a TIME of 35:11. "Muscles" got KOed once, and "Kongster" got KOed twice during the fights. Surprisingly, "Chan Lee" soloed almost all of Lorelei's AND most of Lance's pokemon. I never knew the little guy had it in him.

in my first emerald game, i used a team that could all use the hm fly
i dont remember their lvls, but i had the following pokemon:

Skarmory
Flygon
Salamance
Golbat (didnt knew how to evolve it to crobat)
Altaria

it was fun to use, but i had a hard time beating the Ice woman from E4

Many times I've thought about making an all-Bird type theme team. Half of my winning Ruby team was bird pokemon though:

L51(75) Groudon (Ground) Moves - Slash, Eruption, Earthquake, Solarbeam
L51(72) Blaziken "Bar B Cuer" (Fire/Fighting) Moves - Sky Uppercut, Blaze Kick, Strength, Double Kick
L51(72) Pelipper "Stinky" (Water/Flying) Moves - Wing Attack, Ice Beam, Surf, Steel Wing
L57(71) Manectric (Electric) Moves - Spark, Thunder, Crunch, Quick Attack
L50(69) Gardevoir "Heartkiss" (Psychic) Moves - Shockwave, Hypnosis, Psychic, Dream Eater
L51(66) Skarmory "Windracer" (Steel/Flying) Moves - Air Cutter, Rock Smash, Steel Wing, Cut

I've only played one "odd" theme team really and it's a Mono Normal challenge (not that odd really, is it?)

But my upcoming team will be odd though. It's a no arms team...

Now you got me thinking of an all Round-shaped team, and all Pink team, or maybe even a Rugrats(an all Baby form) team.

Throw a Wigglytuff or a Chansey into your last slot and you'll have a full Team.

I know this isn't gen 3 (though i did try it in gen 3 and the selection of pokemon for it was poor X3) but I thought about a christmas pokemon team but i never did it in any gen as i only have one copy of pearl and leaf green and no others:/ this was the plan though:

Delibird (santa/gift giving bird thing X3)
Stantler (Reindeer)
Snover/Abomasnow (Christmas tree) (gen 4 only)
Staryu/Starmie (The star in the east/ for the top of the tree)
Rotom (Tree lights but only in original form ) (gen 4 only)

I got stuck with the last spot but i narrowed it down to: Jynx (as in the kanto anime it was one of santa's helpers) voltorb (It looks like a bauble but more explosive X3) or bronzong ('and the bells were ringing out, for christmas day.......' gen 4 only obvs)

You just reminded me of an old Pokemon theme team I've been wanting to try for many years now. My Old MacDonald's Farm Team !

After (painfully) studying 10 versions of this song on the Internet, I have come up with the following numbers.

TOP SIX
Cow - 10
Pig - 10
Duck - 9
Chicken - 7
Horse - 7
Dog - 5

others animals included to a lesser degree were:
Cat - 4
Goose - 3
Mule - 3
Sheep - 2
Goat - 1
Mouse -1
Turkey - 1

So it looks like my Team would be comprised of:
Cow - Taurus or Miltank
Pig - Grumpig or Piloswine
Duck - Golduck or Farfetch'd
Chicken - Pidgeot, Fearow, or Blaziken
Horse - Rapidash
Dog - Arcanine, Ninetales, or Mightyena (Houndoom looks more like an evil goat to me)

Just not sure how many of these I can get onto the same game cartridge though...

I've never done a theme team. However I'd like to make a Battle Frontier team in Emerald of all pink or purple Pokemon.

It's not really that odd but I am working Gen 1 pokemon only in Sapphire of emerald. I might make it 1st form only as well. Another interesting team idea might be dog/cat things.

Been seriously wanting to try a Jessie & James Team for a long time now. A guy from YouTube says I could probably make one without too much trouble. So maybe I'll try that on Fire Red after I finish my Fighting Team in Leaf Green.

Fire, Water, Grass, Electric, Pink pokemon, Silver pokemon (I was basing this off Lightspeed Rescue).

Your post gives me the idea for a rainbow team. One for each color of the rainbow. (because the stupid scientists removed indigo from the rainbow)
Or possibly and all Hot (red,orange,yellow) or Cool (Blue,Green,Violet). Or possibly an all black and white team (a little hard because they changed some of the white pokemon to pink.) Or a monochromatic team which is the same as balck and white except you can add one color. Or even and analogous team or and opposite color team or a primary color team etc.

I once did a battle tower double Mentronome team (does that make scence lol)

All they knew was mentronome and it was EPIC! We won like 10 battles.

Came up with this idea for a BATMAN Team from the t.v. shows and comic books. Figured it might look something like this.

Dark Knight Team possibilities
Golbat - as The Batman of course
Swellow - as Robin since it's the only Bird pokemon with a red breast
Mr. Mime - as the Joker, a pasty-faced psychopath who's into mind-games
Persian - as Catwoman
Hypno - as the Riddler, another freak-job who's REALLY into attacking you through mind-games
Dewgong, Glalie, or Regice - as Mr. Freeze
Farfetch'd or Golduck - as the Penguin, an aristocratic villain who has a flair with birds
Roselia - as the perfect Poison Ivy
Muk - which would make an awesome Clayface!
Machoke - as Bane

Ones I'm still working on:
??? - as Batgirl, a Zubat maybe
??? - as Harlequin, the Joker's main girl cohort-in-crime
and ??? - as Alfred, the stoic butler who's saved Batman's life on many occassions (while still bringing him a nice hot Dinner)

Just wanted to toss around a few ideas for you to play with. *finds he now can't stop humming the Batman theme song* "nanaNANAnanaNanah nanaNANAnanaNanah BAT MAAAAN!!" >_<
