What were your teams in the games?

Pokefan_1987

Avid Pokemon TCG Card collector.
This is my latest team that has helped me through pokemon X. I know that a lot of my pokemon overlap but it can't be helped.

Greninja, Magnezone, Xerneas, Gardevoir, Lucario and Lapras.
I just dont have a lot of patience to do the work to find a Eevee, hope it has baby eyes attack and use a ton of playing with it
and wait until it evolves around level 20 to 30. My patience is just low with getting get Sylveon on a tiny handheld.

Also f**** trainers with Crunch, if you thought gen 5 Watchog was bad with Hypnosis and Hyper Fang combos ? Crunch is used by many trainers even more than grunts. It also hits damages high against many types and made many of my members flinch.

At this point, I have currently lost track of all my teams. Right now I am playing Violet with the DLC being available early, which has proven to be an interesting experience and I feel it's given me more creativity in the path I choose. It has also informed some of my team mates
  • Meowscarada: When I started Violet I had a team mate to get that made me choose Sprigatito. Scarlet I had picked the crocodile because it had the most characterization
  • Clodsire-Glimmora: One of the first team mates I used is a Paldean Wooper. Ground is a reliable type and it could cause some shenanigans with Poison Point. But once I beat Iono and reached the late twenties level-wise, I decided to bring in the crystal flower. I found Glimmet in Kitikami and I have found satisfaction in its ability along with ability to set up Stealth Rocks, leading to almost inevitable chip damage if given enough time. Unfortunately, it has made Ground types a major obstacle to overcome
  • Ceruledge: When I got Characadet I wasn't sure if I would keep it. When I finally got enough teacup bits to give it an evolution, Ceruledge has really proven its worth. Bitter Blade is stupidly good
  • Rabsca-shiny Meloetta: Rellor is pretty easy to evolve. As Rabsca, it served to potentially cover up places I'm lacking, and was also my only female member for reasons I don't know. Like are you more likely to encounter Pokemon with the same gender as the player? Now that I'm about to face the Blueberry League, I've decided to instead try something else. Initially I decided hey, this is the first game where Meloetta is a regular legendary encounter...albeit under Regi puzzle logic in a DLC. Then I realized how close I am to completing my HOME SV challenge and now I have it as a flex of sorts
  • Lucario: A mon I obtained in Kitikami. Picking Riolu was picking something that I really haven't had much option to use before so I eventually had it as my one non-Paldea mon, at least until the victory lap that is my shiny Meloetta
  • Iron Treads-Iron Bundle: Iron Bundle was always going to be part of my team because it is probably my favorite future Paradox Pokemon, and now I know there's a fair bit of aftergame via the DLC, I knew I wanted it. But before I reached that point, I needed a substitute. And the one I settled on was Iron Treads. It's yet another Steel type, so there is some overlap, however it also has that glorious Ground type. Seeing as how the Titan Iron Treads (or if you're playing Scarlet, Great Tusk) is the one Paradox Pokemon you can use before Area Zero, and with a good amount of level breadth, I decided to use Big Wheel

Recently, I've finished playing through Blue, and my team was Venusaur, Raichu, Sandslash, Gyarados, Mew (obtained thanks to the Mew glitch), and Articuno.

Dugtrio e Tauros were so overlooked. Both were super fast and could beat hard

Agreed, especially with Dugtrio having 100 base power Dig starting at the 3rd gym lol. You can use it to even take out alot of Erika's gym.
I was only using it cause I didn't know Nidoking was a ground type as a kid lol. And finding a level 30 blew my mind too

dang it, look at me booting the ole emulator files to check my teams from the early noughties.
roughly in the order I played them:

> Pokémon Silver (my first game):
Feraligatr, Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Poliwhirl, Skarmory, Magmar.

> Pokémon Sapphire:
Blaziken, Kecleon, Walrein, Pelipper, Wailord, Kyogre.
there's a possibility that instead of Wailord/Kyogre I actually used Breloom.

> Pokémon Leafgreen:
Blastoise, Flareon, Pidgeot (shiny), Victreebell, Hitmonlee, Porygon.

> Pokémon Pearl:
Empoleon, Staraptor, Luxray, Roserade, Floatzel.
last spot was probably Garchomp or Toxicroak.

> Pokémon Platinum:
Empoleon, Roserade, Houndoom, Togekiss, Garchomp, Drifblim.

> Pokémon Firered:
Venusaur, Arcanine, Poliwrath, Nidoking, Dragonite, Gengar.

> Pokémon Yellow:
Pikachu, Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur, Kadabra, Clefable.

I didn't play gen 5. then I finally got my 3DS half a year before Sun/Moon came out.

> Pokémon X:
Chesnaught, Sylveon, Mega Gengar, Goodra, Talonflame.
last spot is blurry - this is when I started using the GTS/WT and rotating pokémon a lot. pretty certain I had Delphox and Greninja (I always try all starters on my first playthrough), Mega Charizard X, Dragalge, Tyrantrum and Pyroar to choose from.

> Pokémon Sun:
Decidueye, Salazzle, Alolan Ninetales, Starmie.
not sure about the last spots; I had Primarina, Incineroar, Dragalge, Golisopod, Drampa on rotation.

> Pokémon Shield:
Rillaboom, Toxtricity, Drednaw, Grimmsnarl, Centiskorch, Dragapult.

>Pokémon Brilliant Diamond:
Empoleon, Torterra, Infernape, Drapion, Froslass, Roserade. (2nd save)
can't remember the first one, but probably Empoleon, Roserade, Mamoswine, Togekiss, Drapion, Garchomp.

> Pokémon Scarlet:
Skeledirge, Clodsire, Flutter Mane.
probably Bombirdier, Meowscarada and Farigiraf if I'm not mistaken, but kinda blurry as well. they're all stored in a "Save 1" pc box.
Glimmora, Toxtricity, Dragalge, Armarouge, Kingambit and Tyranitar all have the champion ribbon from that save.
