What would have been your starter?

Bagon didn't exist in the days of GSC.

I probably would have gone with one of the starters Elm originally offers, actually. I like the feeling of the traditional grass/fire/water starters.

I didn't like how Chikorita was weak against Falkner in the first gym.

So I'd say Pichu since it's the obvious choice. Strong against Flying types in the beginning.

Eevee. I always pick Eevee... If I wanted to be more original, probably a Pokemon I would want on my team but couldn't get until much later.
