well, that game sounds like utter poop... but the thread could be saved!
my idea for a game is the ultimate tool for Pokemon trainers everywhere:
Pokemon Box: Deluxe edition
It is the ultimate utility tool for pokemon fans. It has all the functions of the original Pokemon Box, plus much more...
you can store up to 1500 pokemon, and sort them and arrange them, much like pokemon box... (it's completely compatable with every GBA game, once you've gotten the national dex)
what makes it very different is that it also has a feature simlair to Colosseum and XD's story mode...
you play a researcher in a mysterious part of the pokemon world. A mysterious area known as "Effort Fields", a big empty field with 6 ruins and a single pokemon center. Using the pokemon you've stored in Pokemon Box, you can use them to explore the ruins and this mysterious world.
Effort Fields is populated by pokemon known as "Missingnos" however, they are not the glitches originally found in the RBY games... Effort feilds is the only place they can be found and it seems that no other pokemon can be found there (or so they say...). They appear to be simple jelly-like things, and they're incredibly weak...
However, depending on their colour, they can give out 3 effort values in a certain stat. There are 6 varieties of Missingnos: red ones give 3 attack EVs, yellow ones give 3 defense EVs, blue ones give out 3 special attack EVs, green ones give out 3 special defense EVs, pink ones give out 3 speed EVs and purple ones give out 3 HP EVs
nearly every item a pokemon can hold can be found in Effort fields, except for Pokeballs, a mysterious energy surrounding Effort fields makes empty pokeballs non-fuctionable, so catching the Missingnos in the game is impossible.
you start of with access to a single ruin, but the more pokemon you store in the boxes, the more ruins you can access. The ruins themselves are quite big. It may take a long time to go through a single one. It's well worth it though, because if you're carrying 5 or less pokemon, you'll be gifted with one of 6 pokemon only previously available through nintendo events! (Mew, Ho-oh, Lugia, Celebi, Jirachi and Deoxys)
so basically, this game is much like Pokemon Box, only with a very useful place to EV train the stored pokemon as well.
The best part is that would be available for retail everywhere you can buy games!
