What would your town be like in the Pokemon world?

This is a simple exercise. Describe the town or city you live in (don't say its actual name) as if it were a town or city in the Pokemon world! Would it have a Pokemon center? A gym? Only two houses and a professor's lab? And what Pokemon would trainers be using repels to avoid in the tall grass?

(My apologies if I'm not allowed to make a post like this.)

My town is quite a big city by Pokémon standards. It could be comparable in its size to Saffron, Goldenrod or Castelia, and there are many parks where Pidgey, Pidove, Zigzagoon, Vulpix, Nickit and Pachirisu roam. There's also many rivers and ponds where you can see Psyduck, Ducklett and Swanna. There's a Gym here and it specialises in the Steel type, due to all the skyscrapers and construction going on, with a handy Pokémon Center just next door. Occasionally, wild Rattata and Raticate run around the streets at night feeding on people's trash, and you might even hear the cry of a Vulpix or Nickit in the night.

My town would be that one early small town right after the player's home town where the player learns more about the game before going to the city with the first gym. The trainer school would be the most important part of the town, which barely can afford even a Pokemon Center.

There would be no areas in town to catch Pokemon, but just outside is a large forest where plenty of early Pokemon can be caught, such as Skwovet, Fletchling, Deerling, Zigzagoon, and Shroomish, as well as Phantump at night.

It would small to medium sized, a rather early game town. It would have a park full of Pidgeys, Sparrows, Rattatas, Luvdiscs, Goldeens, Murkrows, Poliwags etc.. It would also have a Pokemon Center and a Pokemon Store, a Post Office that uses Hoothoots, Noctowls and Pidgeots to carry the mail and packages.

It would be a really hot, sunny town, with lots of buildings. The streets would be kind of dirty, so there would be some Trubbish running around and Rattatas too (especially at night). It would have a lot of green aswell, so some bug and grass types are to be expected.

The town where I live now is close to a big city, but it's more like a suburb than a metropolis. There would probably be a Pokemon Center if my town was in a Pokemon game, and there are also a lot of parks so I suppose it would be considered a very forest-like area.

Sorry to slightly pervert the intention of the thread, but I live and work in London, grew up near Stoke, in the same county as the Roman city of Chester, and went to university in Hull. My grandparents live in a rural area with a huge train viaduct bisecting their land.

The town I live in would probably be something akin to Mauville City: a lot of shops and stores so you’d take quite awhile to explore every building . Very average weather but when there’s a storm, it’s usually extreme. Lots of long routes would meet up here as there’s a lot of highways. A Normal (since that’s the type most commonly associated with sound based moves), Steel, or Electric Gym would be at the center of the town. As for Pokémon, Stunky, Scraggy, Noibat, Venonat, Taillow, Sentret, & Arrokuda would be some you could find by the homes of citizens. Magnemite and Whismur would be in/by the shopping area

My town would only have 1 house. Mine. Because I’m the only one that matters lol.

Fun question.

I live in Monterey Bay California which is a small town near the beach. I'm thinking maybe Ambrette Town in Kalos. That city has an aquarium and my city's Aquarium is a popular tourist attraction. As for Pokemon I could see water types like Wingull, Wailmer, and Oshowatts

My home town is a relatively small coastal town with lots of Georgian architecture and a maritime aesthetic, in a Pokemon context it would probably be one of those smaller early-game towns with a Pokemon Center, five or six buildings and maybe a Gym, probably a Water Gym because we're on the coast and have a harbour. Speaking of which, the harbour could have maybe two or three fishing spots for catching Tentacools, Magikarps and maybe even a Krabby, and an old lighthouse that may or may not be important to the story (in real life there is no working lighthouse on our harbour, but there is a museum in a building made to look like a lighthouse). We also have a market in town every Thursday and Saturday, so you could put the Incense seller and a TM shop there if you wanted. In short, Imagine a combination of Slateport City in Hoenn and Hulbury in Galar.

As an addendum to my earlier post, people from the city of Stoke are known as 'clay heads' - 'clay 'eads', in the vernacular - given the city's role in the UK ceramic industry. My family is absolutely stuffed with them, and by far one of their worst habits, especially when they're guests, is to flip the host's crockery upside-down to check the provenance of bowls and plates.

Which, incidentally, is how you check you've got the correct item for the Polteageist line's evolution.

Hello from a fellow Stokie! I couldn’t believe there was a city in Pokemon with Stoke in the name (though I think Motostoke is more based on Manchester)

I live in Liverpool now- probably in game it would be a busy port city with multiple Pokemon centre and types roaming round, perhaps a bigger Hulbury, or a much smaller Castelia City.

And it'd be stuffed with Liver bird Cramorants and Liverpudlian Falinks - it uses stolen hubcaps instead of shields. ;p

I'm actually originally from Crewe, so a strong railway/industrial vibe there, too. I was a little disappointed that Coalossal takes so many visual cues from Golem rather than steam trains.

It would probably be a city nestled in-between the mountains, a great green valley that's apparently historically famous for its apples, clothing and beautiful girls. Towering buildings in one corner and green mountains in another. I'd imagine the most obvious Gym Leader to think of for a city such as that is a grass-type Gym Leader similar to Erika.

My town is quite small with a very large forest nearby and a great mountain top to explore. There is also a lake nearby my house. I guess I would have to go with Twinleaf Town, which makes me really appreciate my location.

My home is called a city, but really it's not. Too small and bland?

It's a decent town with many hills going up and down all over the place. A large river cuts through the town, so you have many homes and parks on one side, and the city centre, more homes, and more parks on the other side.
There's a castle (or what remains of it) sitting right on the riverbank outside of town, and there's an art sculpture on the riverbank directly south of the town centre which has the triforce (seriously).
Multiple bridges connect the two halves of the town, one of them being the very first cable-stayed bridge in the UK. There's also a transporter bridge that works (one of the few left in the world).
In the northeast there's a settlement which has many old roman places and things to see, from the meuseum, to the amphitheatre. Some Roman guy (Legio II Augusta) had his headquarters somewhere around here from 75 to 300 AD.

There's a nice big park you by the motorway which has a nice river for fun water times, and it has large green fields where you can find many abandoned golf balls (was a hobby of mine when I was a kid).
To the left of the town there's the capital, to the north some random places, to the south there's the british channel or whatever you call it, and to the west there's the bridge connecting us to good old England.
The town was also known for its docks and steelworks, which was, when it first started, a huge part of the town and very important.

The split town thing makes me say Canalave City, but I'm not really sure.
Anyone want to help?

Thought about it more. So this is how I'd imagine what my "town" would be like in the Pokemon world. The city I lived in is historically famous for it's apples, clothing and beautiful girls.

So I'd imagine this city would be a major destination for Pokemon Coordinators as it's a city of fashion and is also one of the cities that holds a major Pokemon Contest facility. It also has a Pokemon Gym and similar to Erika, it's an girl-only Pokemon gym but her signature Pokemon would be Appletun or Flapple because the city is famous for its apple.

In fact, the city's mascot is an Appletun or Flapple depending on which version you get and it has its very own Apple Market that offers different apples that alter your Pokemon's capabilities. It also of course offers you the apples to evolve your Applin. Also since it's a place of fashion, it offers the unique feature to play dress-up with your Pokemon. Not only that but considering the location, it would be set in a mountainous place full of greenery. Part of the city slopes upwards against a massive mountain, one that leads up to a mountain park on one side and on the other side is the bustling amusement park where a lot of the rides are modeled after Pokemon.

In the serene mountain park, you see a lot of beautiful wooden bridges, wooden temples and shrines, steps built into the stony mountain acting like stairs and of course stone cairns. Along the way you also notice that the mountain has old relics of a war a long ago. A kind of war where the younger generation only heard of it in stories but the older generation, I mean really old people who can barely walk, remember it quite well. You see an old abandoned bunker that's about to be demolished and turned into a hotel by some business people. You see an old decrepit helipad reclaimed by nature and bug-type Pokemon, especially lots of bug-type Pokemon. As you slowly walk in the midst of a giant field of lush flowers full of Pokemon, you notice in the distance that there is an old rusty tank no longer in-use covered in flowers.
