I think the title speaks for itself. So, what's a revamp?

a revamp is when you get an old gen pokemon sprite e.g. blue ver.bulbasuar and sade and coulor it to look like a third gen.sprite e.g. ruby bulbasur.

A revamp is a spriting term that means making an old sprite from an old game look like a new sprite. Basically, you change the shading, outlining, and everything about an old sprite to make it look like it fits with the RS sprites.

It's not just a spriting term. You can technically revamp anything, if it's upgradeable or can be reworked into a better example of its former self.
