Theres a manga called golden boys.I here its all based on gold,crystal and silvers adventures? i dunno were i heard this,but i've seen a scan of the cover.can anybody fill me in on this?

Kenta meant Golden BoyS. The GS based POKEMON manga.

Golden Boys is a 3 volume series based on the GSC games. The main characters are Gold and Crystal, while the red haired rival, who's named Black instead of Silver in this manga, plays the bad guy.

The story basically involves Gold's adventure from Newbark up til Cianwood, and features the standard gym battles, pokemon capture and so. One interesting fact is that quite a lot of legendaries make an appearance in this short comic, from Articuno at the Violet Gym, Entei/Raikou/Suicune at Ecruteak, and Lugia at the Whirl Islands. At the end, this is explained by the fact that the Pikachu of Gold actually came back from the future, holding a specialized Exp. Share which increases the rate for encountering legendaries.

Gold starts out with a Totodile while Black stole a Chicorita from Prof. Elm, but eventually abandoned it when it was a Bayleef since he deemed it too weak. Bayleef then joined Gold's team, and Gold meets Crystal in volume 2, who starts with Cyndaquil.

At the very end of this comic, a dark Tyrannitar is released by Black at Cianwood, which required the joints efforts of over 100 trainers to recapture it into a Level Ball.

I've seen scans from this manga.Very diffrent from Pokemon special,but the plot is really good and the characters are well based on the actual game charaters.

Yeah,the artstyle is pretty much good,IMO,although the only diffrence is Gold and Crys look younger and just a tad bit immature.Silver looks,well,older O__o but hawter IMO <33 As for Pokemon,pretty much similar.The real diffrence is in the gym leaders(Pryce and Clair don't show in this manga)They all pretty much look the same,but Bugsy and Morty,I guess wecould say they looks a tad bit,well,diffrent.Oh yeah,and Whitney takes a major role in the series,as I recall,but she departs from the group at some point in time,I just cannot remember at the moment.

I've never seen that Manga. I guess it was translated by some other company.

Coronis - do you think yall will cover any of the other Manga's out there anytime in the future?

I also wonder why Viz stopped translating Pokémon Adventures?

Golden Boys wasn't translated at all, sadly. And since the story seems to just cut off, that probably means it wasn't very popular in Japan.

It was translated into Chinese, Korean and English (Singapore Only).
And Yeah that's a pity that story was cut. I'd like to see Elite 4 :( .
