Mario Kart: Double Dash!!

Peach Beach
On the final turn before the uphill straightaway (the one for the start/finish line), I was blind-sided by a Bowser Shell. I saw a Mushroom just lying there, so I quickly picked it up and got the lead again. Five seconds before I reached the Finish Line, a Spiny Shell comes. Two of my opponents passed me, then a Lightning bolt activates. On the final stretch, someone with a Mushroom and another with a Star pushed me aside. Because of that, I ended up in 5th place. >_< Damn rubber-band AI.
