What's the stupidest thing you ever saw the AI do?

I was fighting a rematch with lance in HG, i had five pokemon, he had only his altaria, and it used Perish Song! Share your experiences of AI stupidity!

My most recent experience was more annoying than stupid. In Platinum, I was battling my rival for the first time, and the only thing he had his Turtwig do for the first six turns was use Withdraw. It severely prolonged the battle. :/ When I'd chosen Chimchar previously, he had his Piplup use Growl for the first six turns, too. It was horribly irritating.

Pretty much any time I have one Pokemon left in the red and the AI uses a stat changing move instead of finishing me off thus allowing me to utterly wreck the rest of its team.

That is the main reason Gengar went up 50 levels in one day.

me too... but i use psychic

There is nothing more stupid the AI can do besides using Explosion or Selfdestruct on a Pokemon immune to it. Its also annoying when you're trying to catch something like a Weezing and all it does is explode on you.

Freakin' Relicanth in Ruby using Take Down after I False Swiped them. Took forever to come across one with rock head.

Lances Dragonair vs my Vileplume in Pokemon Blue. Dragonair just spams Agility because its a Psychic move while I have Vileplume Mega Drain it to death.
