Hey guys! I started this thread because I love Mario games, and out of all the Mario games I have, I found one single flaw or something that annoyed me and i've always wanted to ask people this question: what's the the worst/annoyng thing about a Mario game ever?

I think that worst thing about a Mario game is... PEOPLE DON'T TALK!!!
When people talk it's either text or jibberish or the most annoying.... Text Bubble + weoweoweoweoweoweoweo........ I mean the only peple that talk are Peach and the toads and They barely talk! Mario and Luigi talk, But all they say are, let's-a-go!, It's-a Mario/Luigi time!,Thier own names, I got it, or I'm the winner. MAY I CONTINUE?!!!!

The last thing I want to happen is Mario getting VAs. Look at how Corny sonic did. "Let's show him the Super Power Of Teamwork!" "I'm Faaaaalling!" "Where's the computer room?!"

The text is fine the way it is. The only Mario game that did have VAs was SM:SS which was......strange and BJ sounded like a Fat boy who's eating with his mouth full. Let's stick to text.

The worst thing about a Mario game?......Trying to time on a little jump and then it's all GAMEOVER for you. (No where near like the "Lion King" for SNES however.)

The worst mario game? Mario is Missing! Both for NES, SNES and PC. Don't buy these games for the Edutainment at all! The point of Games in entertainment, not answering questions on how someones house got knocked down by not paying taxes. I got to question 5 before just getting bored out of myself. Bowser is in Antartica and a door leads to a town. WTF.

Yoshi disintegrating in water.... also, I friggin hate the voice they gave Yoshi ever since Yoshi's Story. The guy used to kick a** back in the days when it only made those saddle-up sounds and nothing more.

I also hate how the Koopalings have been replaced by Baby Bowser and other cheap knock-offs like Bowser Jr. Baby Bowser was OK in the Yoshi games, where it made sense for taking place in the past. I'd say it all started in Mario Party, when they used 7 Baby Bowsers on the Star Board, which incidentally the same number of Koopalings. I wouldn't be surprised if they originally planned to use Koopalings but got lazy with character models, and from there, just decided to stick with them until it got to the point where they got replaced completely by Mario Sunshine. I don't get why they don't just let them make a comeback (Mario & Luigi probably doesn't count, considering that game was full of cameos anyway), I mean, what do they find in Bowser Mini-mes? The Koopalings are a lot original, with varying and colorful designs which only share some similarities to their father.

Boy have i got a thing or two to say on this one: Too many sport related mario games. IMO, the only mario games that i found worthy are the adventure style, the mario party and the racing. Thats it thats all. Golf, not really. Tennis, OKay perhaps. Soccer? Okay theyve gone too far.

Oh and the biggest flaw, when are we going to see some more platforming titles!!!!!!!!!!!

I 100% agree. Mario adventure games: Great, what he first was. Mario Party: Good, until we got loads of versions. Mario kart: Probably one of the best things to happen to Mario. Golf is sorta OK. Tennis: This was the worst. Power Tennis had overpowered moves, but the GBA version sorta fixed that. Football (Soccer): Got boring. Basketball: No, just no. I think it's for the DS though, which is a nice change.

Ah, I can see it now. Mario Luge, Ballroom dancing, and Toe-wrestling. No one will remember the big-nosed guy who starred in many great adventures, because there's going to be too many other genres. ;/
Super Mario Trozei! =/
I hate in Super Mario 64 (DS) How you can almost make it up to the top of the castle via walljumping, or in the DS version, Jumping over to that patch of grass and running. YOU GET SO DADGUM CLOSE! ;o;

I remember Nintendo Official Magazine in the UK doing something where they predict the next spin-off Mario games, such as Wario Chess, Waluigi Paintball and a few others.

Mario Tennis is fantastic, at least the original one was. In fact Power Tennis is decent if you toggle the option to turn Power Shots off...

Also it's always football never soccer, stupid Americans.:p

The most annoying thing about Mario has to be the terrible games such as Smash Soccer, Baseball and Basketball and the lack of a great storyline or plot.

Worst thing about Super Mario 64 DS: No analog stick to control Mario. D-Pad control is horrible.

Worst thing about Super Mario Sunshine: ..Just about everything. >_o Especially weakass Yoshi dying in water.

I don't really like how Shigreu Myamoto has to constantly re-invent his games all the time, I'd like it if he stuck with one style for a little while... or at least go back to the basic gameplay now and again.

So Mario Party isn't one style and the upcoming Super Mario Bros. game ISN'T basic gameplay being revisted? >_>

when I meant basic game play, I meant the kind of games that the original Mario games were like... simple platformers rather then all the multiplayer party games that are being released nowadays...

I've never liked Mario.. I'm a Luigi type. I every game possible, I choose Luigi. I feel kinda bad for the guy. He always has to stand behind his brother in every game when we all can see that he's the more fit of the two. Mario is fat and addicted to "magic mushrooms" while Luigi is a bit more slim and prefers "flowers"

X-Ninji

X-Naut+Ninji=Me
Even if Mario and Luigi own me I hated Yoshi OHKOing In SMS

The only thing I ever hated about the Mario games was the stupid special affects. Some of them were terrible. The games would look better without the really odd and lame special affects.

Worst thing about Mario? The shift from 2D to 3D... :(

Back in the 2D era, Mario had loads and loads of Platform games of the best quality. Unfortunately, the genre didn't survive the Dimension Shift, which made Mario's most original and loved games quality 2 from there on...

Mario 64 was OK, but it still didn't live up to its old 2D Platforms... Sunshine? No...

It's sad that the Mario gimmicks such as the Sports Series and the Party series are much more fun and at least half-decent when compared to the recent Platforms. Not Mario's fault, though...

Ohh well... all good things end up dying. Unless the Platform genre gets redefined, I doubt Mario's platforms will make much of an impact ever again...

The Camera in Sunshine. It was TERRIBLE! In my view, it ruined the game. In fact, the whole game wasn't that good. I tried to take my copy back but my cat scratched the disk to death.

Atomic Boo

Oddium Wanderus ftw
I don't like it when certain characters or species aren't explained fully how they work in their own societies.
In particular, i'm a big fan of the Boo race (as my username suggests), but theres no official explanation to how their culture is ordered, E.g. Are they all subjects to King Boo or Bowser etc. Paper Mario seems to give my favorite idea in which Boos live in their own colonies yet still recognise regal figures (a bit like people) and they all share the same favorite pastime of scaring people.

You're right about the Bowser follower thing. Most goombas and crud are Bowsers cronies. Iv'e only seen shy guys in their natrual environment in paper Mario 1 at shy guy's toybox, they were STILL part of Bowser's army.
