What's with legendary Pokemon.

Why are Legendary pokemon so good to have? It's like everyone wants them. But why?!
They are rare. But, If... Say Metapod was rare and you could only get one? Would you want it if the best attacks are string shot, harden and tackle?

They're used because there stats are superior to the normal Pokemon stats.

Yes, a lot of them are very good in battle, notable exceptions being Articuno and possibly Jirachi(despite it being OU, I rarely see it).

I voted because they're powerful, because that's why the majority use them (although there are some who like their designs).

Most people don't use them, but just like to get them because they're rare. I keep all of my "unobtainable" Pokemon in a special box, as if it were a gallery, but I have never even used them.

A lot of people just use them to sweep through teams. Most legendaries aren't that powerful, but the uber legendaries often have really high stats in just about every area.

I dont know whats the deal with Legendarys cuase my friend always have legendarys in his team and it's the same thing all the time 'cuase there powerful' I've seen powerfuler pokemon before.

I only use Legendaries in one of my teams. Basically, they're powerful and look good but I just use them for fun. They're in my 9th team but I don't use them as much as I used to but perhaps when I'm bored or for training..........

Legendary pokemon are mostly great in battle, except the odd exceptions such as Entei, so naturally I'd say they were more used for their greatness in battle than their rarity. Their stats and somewhat varied movepools (save the exceptions like zapdos) give them competitive edge over some OU counterparts.

Pretty much what Ryan said here. I mean Legendary Pokémon are just creatures with boosted stats. That's all.
