Favorite Pokemon
I don't really have one, but right now I guess it might be either Cradily or Hitmontop. Others include the Nincada family, Croagunk/Toxicroak, Xatu, Abomasnow, Slakoth/Slaking, Regirock/ice/steel, Onix, Tropius, Mawile, and more. Too many to count. Most of my faves are chosen for aesthetics and background lore over battling ability, but not always.
Also Unown, for flavor purposes. Useless in a fight, but they have a great sense of mystery about them.
Least favorite Pokemon
Exeggcute and Sunflora are both boring eyesores that rub me the wrong way. Igglybuff's eyes and general facial layout weird me out a little.
Also Charizard, but that's due to the excessive hype and overexposure it's gotten over the years more than any flaw with the Pokemon itself. Not that its generic design helps any.
Favorite type
Again, it's always changing. I think right now it's Poison. It's a decent defensive typing when paired with some others, and a lot of the Pokemon have fun designs with a sinister edge. Aside from that, some combination of the following.
Fighting: For being the most awesome, assbeating-est type ever.
Bug: Underdog love, and the fact that a lot of bugs IRL are really cool.
Grass: Creative designs (3rd gen helped a lot here) and fun moves like Leech Seed.
Rock: Mostly for the fossils, plus cool stuff like Onix, Relicanth, Nosepass line, etc.
Normal: Lots of variety.
Least favorite type
Probably Dark, because the edgy, brooding quality a lot of them have is silly and never really did much for me. Fire is also definitely overhyped IMO and a terrible defensive typing, but there are also a fair number of them I still like. (Same with Dark actually, but that's usually for their other type, i.e. Cacturne, Murkrow, and Stunky.)
Dragon feels bland to me despite its apparent superiority complex.
