So what's your favorite region? Mines is Johto beacause it contains my favorite pokemon and the it also for me has the best storyline. What's your favorite region. You may post what and why you like that region. If not don't bother posting. It's also multiple choice so if you can't decide between 2 regions, you can just vote for both.

Kanto. Maybe because it's where Pokemon first started out.

I like Johto, I have fond memories of when Gold/silver came out, back in the Golden age of pokemon; when everybody liked pokemon... i dont have the same feelings about the newer pokemon games; they'll never be what Gold/silver was....

Oh yeah, everyone still likes pokemon; seriously, i just asked someone i didn't know at my school if they liked pokemon, they first said, "no" but then i told them that i liked pokemon and then they changed their mind, and its now like the good old days; just like when i was in the fourth grade, pokemon has now become popular once again at my school; the Key word here, is CATACALYSM.....

Definitely Johto. I'm sure you can tell one of the reasons just by looking at my sig :p. Really, though, I like Johto for way more reasons than just Morty.

-Best storyline. It had a lot of history in it, and it really connected with the R/B/Y/G storyline.

-Day/Night. I'm sure this is on everyone who likes Johto at all's list for why they like it. It gave so much more depth to the game.

-Weekly events. Not as good as the day/night, but still good. I had to play Monday night to get the Moonstone from the rock.

-Free shiny. Red Gyarados, unless you didn't catch it. If you count the Crystal Odd Egg, then you get two free shinies.

-It has Will in it, too !

Yeah, that pretty much sums up why I think G/S/C is the best generation ever.

Johto hands down.

My first Pokemon game was Pokemon Gold.

Feraligatr is just too great.

The Gyms were cool

Day/Night feature

Kanto too

hehheheheh...

yeah. I's am CRAZAY for Johto! XD

I like Johto and Kanto because of their connection. To me, it seems Hoenn is a garbage. Nothing really in common with the old games.

Johto and Kanto kinda sound the same, Hoenn, no.

Poke'mon wise, seems like Kanto/Johto made original ones. Hoenn, are like....stronger copies which are boring.

End story.

first pokemon game was gold
night and day was the best
and the weekly events just like animal crossing
I like decorating my room more than my base as it was harder to get the cool spiffy items
and best ho-oh!!! *drools*
it also felt a bit lonnger with Kanto and the pokemon were more orignal hoenn were mostly copies of older pokemon

Johto, 'cause that's where I first started my journey in my games. (the Gold Version, but Silver). The Pokemon seem cooler, and it has cool trainers too.

My favourite region is Johto, even though I like the story in Hoenn. Hoenn seems like a totally "diconnected" region and has little in common with the previous versions of the game. It's like it isn't a pokemon game, at least that's the feeling I get when I play Ruby. Johto brings back a lot of memories. When I started playing silver for the first time... it's something I'll never forget...

lol... as expected, too much love for Johto.

I like every Region equally, except for the two Island Regions (Both are meh-ish...). They all have their ups and their downs.

I like Kanto because it was the original, and in game terms, had the longest dungeons. Even so, it was very plain in design, had mostly blankety GYM Leaders and lacked MAJOR depth and history...

I like Johto because of all the history and culture regarding Pokémon. It also has my most favorite group of GYM Leaders. It would have been the best Region if it wasn't for...

-The plain design. As plain as Kanto... and no. The system's power is NO excuse. If they had stripped Kanto off GSC, I bet they COULD'VE come up with somewhat Hoenn-esque scenarios, just a bit watered down.

-The lack of focus on 2nd Gen Pokémon. Even if 19 Pokémon were related to old ones, and even if the Region is near Kanto, it was a BIG mistake to give us Kanto Pokémon again. Plus, a HUGE amount of the culture was severely focused on Kanto Pokémon, which is sad and unfair...

-Blatant lack of identity as an individual Region. All Johto ended up being was a Kanto subordinated. Why? Because the 8 Johto Badges took you to the Kanto League. It ended up just as an alternative, when it earned MUCH more...

I like Hoenn because of the magistral landscapes and scenarios you go through. You FINALLY see diversity in the areas: desert, jungle, volcano, mountain, beach... it goes on. It had creative cities/towns (Pacifidlog, Sootopolis and Fortree were EXCELLENT.). The ONLY con I could find was its lenght: too short overall. The GYM Leaders, though MUCH better than the Kanto ones, fell short of the brilliant Johto ones. It also lacked a wee bit of history and culture, but it had its fair share of mysteries, which balances out...

I like Orre because it's not a happy-go-lucky place, as are most Regions. It's a somewhat anarchic area, where crime and misdeeds are at its fullest. The makeup of the Region is also very bizarre: most of it is engulfed in an expansive desert. There's a big volcano, an oasis-esque hill, and even a town below ground. Everything is pretty much controlled by an evil organization that conducts experiments in Pokémon. EXCELLENT background, and the darker make-up is also intriguing and a change from the usually nice Regions. It just lacked that bit of exploration and lenght, alongside culture, but it's OK. Orre was meant to be different, and it made a darn good job at it.

I like them all. Islands bore me a lot, though...

I like Johto fairly well(mostly for the Pokémon:p), but as a Region, Hoenn is the best. Kanto is so dull, it would bore amoebas. Johto is rather plain, but the great history makes up for it. Great Pokémon, too, even though some are rather neglected(and no, I don't give a care about how 19 are related to the older ones. They're all 10x cooler than the old ones, and I like the addition to the old Pokémon. Redemption for the lack of originality, yay). Hoenn is just brilliant as a Region, though, so I like it the best.
Come to think of it, anything that doesn't relate to Kanto is good with me. Which means the mother of all evil, Kanto, and the Orange Islands. Orre is cool, Hoenn's excellent, Johto's great and the Sevii Islands' focus on the Johto Pokémon is good. And it improved Kanto tenfold =D
