whats your favourite rival?

as you now ash has met many rivals and i am asking who is your favourite.
mine is morrison

I actually have a couple. Morrison and Tyson. I'd go with Morrison since half the pokemon he uses are my favorite.

Most definitely Gary. I loved the look on Ash's face whenever he saw him or thought of him. I also thought it was very sad when Gary announced that he was gonna become a Pokemon Researcher, 'cos I thought Ash lost his rival

Gary oak. I liked the rivalry between Ash and Gary. Like when Ash was reading that post that said something like Gary is here and how Ash got mad about it.Also when Ash was thinking or saw Gary I thought it was quite funny.But when Gary decided to become a pokemon researcher .Ash lost his rival. all the other rivals ash has had I find are are quite boring and dull.

I kinda agree with volttacklepikachu. Gary was unique in the way he was arrogant and stuck up. Harrison, Richie, Tyson and Morrison weren't that stuck up. Not to mention Gary had a brief life with cheerleaders (wink). To bad he became a researcher...

Like I said, The other rivals besides Gary were just a copypasta of Richie (good guy who becomes friend and beats in pokemon league).

The others weren´t so important and I kinda was sad when Gary decided to become a Pokemon Researcher, his attitude was perfect for a rival, and he was Ash´s rival since they were kids, not as the "I appeared of nowhere, I beat you in the somewhat league and now we are friends" that appeared on every league

I think it's about time Ash had a rival who hates his guts, like Harley for May.

Otherwise, his best rival is Gary. Never stray from the classic.

Mine's Shigeru, plain and simple.

Morrison's a fat misty (with King Kai's voice in the dub....ewww...), and Tyson is t3H gEnErIc fWeND that Ash loses to every time he goes in a league (Ex: Richie, Harrison...)....*yawn*

Gary and Morrison. I liked Gary back in the old episodes, where he was always getting into Ash's face and being mean and stuff. I especially liked the episode with the sign that said "Gary was here. Ash is a looser". I hated how he became so nice at the end of Johto, and went off to research pokemon like his grandfather. >_> I liked Morrison, since he looks like a fatter, more hideous version of Misty, and I hate Misty. ^_^

Well I liked Gary, he was probably my favourite character outright. I used to like the way he could rub Ash up the wrong way with purpose, something only he was able to do, most of his rivals ever since all act like friends and for me that kind of rivalry lacks any proper intensity and excitement.

Shame the writers dumped him in the skipyard, but I'm always optimistic they might do something again with him, however small and cameo like it might be.

Harley > Drew > Gary > Morrison > the rest.

May's rivals in general have lots more depth and go through character development, and at least Gary and Morrison were interesting. The rest were generic as hell.
