Ingame when you use a potion you only see "[Pokémon] Restored [Number] HP!". But what happens with all those empty potions you've used? Where does the trainer store them?

i say he keeps them in his bag until you save the game and turn off then he throws them away.

What do you think?

(i've used the search button but i didn't found something like this.)

Well I would say that the trainer keeps them all in their bag and disposes of them in the proper manner when they reach a bin. Or, maybe the bottle is edible. Hmm...

They throw them away so the Wild Grimer/Gulpin eats them

I did it!!
I thought for awhile that it might be riffilable or something like that but I really think that the pokemon can eat it as well.

I think the potions are made of pokemon food so that when they are done the pokemon just eat em.

I think that the trainer throws them away in a garabage can. The garbage cans in the Pokemon world are cleaned by a Gulpin trash service which eat the garbage twice a week XD

I always thought you bought the actual potion itsself and put it in a bottle afterwards so that you just keep 4 or 5 bottles on you for the different types.

I think that the potion bottle is edible, so the Pokémon consumes the potion along with the bottle.
If the bottles would just be thrown on the ground, the entire Earth would be covered with empty bottles, seeing how nobody except in the games except for you goes to the Pokémon Center. I mean, they must heal their Pokémon some way.

Someone can clean the roads again.

The potion bottles might be made of hard candy (I once say a recipe for stained-glass cookies that required crushed hard candy) as a treat to cheer up the injured Pokemon, which is why Pokemon like having items used on them.

Either that, or the potions just taste real good!

I think that the bottles just mysteriously vanish (this is the Pokemon world) once used.

Well obviously, they shove it up their*is shot*

Meh, they probably keep the empty potions and dispose of them when no one is looking. Why they would do that, I have no idea.

They put them in bins, the rubbish gets recycled, they are turned into new potions.

Why are there no bins in the game? Well before you can ask that, you need to determin how a character can fit 20 otions, Super Potions, Hyper Potions, max Potions, Revives, Ethers, Protien, Zinc, Carbos, Iron, 50 TMs and a Bike into one of those little backpacks.

They probably either refill them or throw them away, and the TM's don't take up much room, because they're discs and go in a TM case, and the bikes are collapsable. The other stuff, I don't know.
