When "Electric Soldier Porygon" got banned, it resulted in "Pocket Monsters" going on a four-month hiatus in Japan from late 1997 to early 1998. Only thing is, Shogakukan had a Christmas special and a winter special all lined up in the schedule to air in the subsequent weeks after the Porygon episode, but the hiatus threw everything out of whack. Rather than air them when the show came back a few months later, TV Tokyo held "Rougela's Christmas" and "Iwaku as a Bivouac" over until December 1998 (airing them between "The Barrierd of the Pokémon Circus" and "Rival Showdown! Ookido Laboratory"). For whatever reason, when 4Kids got the whole first season, they didn't opt to put these episodes back in their correct order.
