What happened to it? They gave it to Kurt and never heard from about it again. It's so stupid that they made all those adventures with it and didn't finish it!

Bleah, this question's been asked five billion times already. The answer is:

It's a plothole.

It was just a plot device to have an excuse for Satoshi to go to the Orange Islands. Blame the goddamn writers.

Or you could have just looked here. The Search button, despite popular belief, works wonders.

It was just something made to advertise Gold and Silver. Like Munchlax, [SPOIL]Manene, or Bonsly[/SPOIL] for Diamond and Pearl. ;/

Welcome to the wonderful, whimsical, woeful world of the Pokémon animé series!

My guess? The GS ball was actually an elaborate explosive device. After Kurt figured out how to open the ball, a devestating explosion destroyed all of Azelea Town, and about 3/4 of the Slowpoke Well area. The surviving Slowpoke noticed absolutely none of this.

it disappeared in a time paradox, along with the following

- Ash's dad
- the two other trainers
- Misty's parents
- Brock's maturity
- Gary's ambition
- Jigglypuff
- Most of Kanto from the Indigo season
- Japanese Humour
- writing that's been painted over
- japanese food that's been painted over
- Porygon2

and several other things few people care about.

It was an excuse to get Ash to the Orange Islands. It's now with Kurt who's still 'studying it'. Question answered, thread closed.
