I guess he got rich and then bought his own island and became even richer off of his own drug plantation. Then Nintendo said 'Hey wanna do another game?" and he didn't need the money so he told them to f**k off. And hopefully Rei was painfully, slowly killed.

I think Nintendo wanted to sort of start over, so they put Micheal in. A lot of people in the game remember them, it's just they don't talk about it much. There's a lady in the Pokemon HQ lab that can tell you a lot though.Abraace said:

As for Wes and Rui's disappearance, I don't think there's any particular reason behind it. They just weren't in the game.

Anyway, Wes and Rui are mentioned in XD by about two people. Their names are never mentioned, they're just described as "a young man who quit Team Snagem and a girl who could see shadow pokemon," but that's probably because you can change their names to whatever you want in Colo.

Wes probably left to another region... or is in a forbidden area in Orre. (I'm just probably imagining it.. Oo; ) But, at least some people remember him... and I wonder why Eagun and Beluh don't mention Rui? They could at least give a few hints about their "gifted" granddaughter, or maybe some hints about the former hero of Orre, too.

Ya mean the former Kids Grid? Yeah, I wondered why they didn't mention Wes either... They were like, a part of the incident too! >> Also, that includes Miror B., Justy, Cail, and Willie, and probably some others. They could've at least said a small hint about Wes and Rui's presence five years ago... >< But, I think Wes and Rui are still together, right? They could be at least dating or something in another area or possibly another region... (they can't be married... Wes and Rui were like, about in their teens in Colo. They could be about twenty-ish in XD...)

It's wierd though. They mention Team Cipher was around five years ago, but not who stopped them. They mention Snaggem, but not who stopped them either.
I mean, even in the other pkmn games, GSC, mentioned Oak, and you fought Blue aka Gary and Red aka Ash.
Yeah it does seem like it. It's like they abandond Wes cause he wouldn't fit into their plans. though I find it harder to believe a 10/12 year old boy would be running around stopping Cipher then someone that blows up a building and runs around stopping cipher XD
