where to find items?

can anyone tell me where to find (if its in Fire Red) the macho brace, leftovers, and those other ever so useful items that really help you train and help you in battles.

Use Itemfinder where Giovanni was in the gym and use it where Snorlax was. (2x)

when i use it where snorlax was it says:
"nope....no item detected."
wats wrong?

Were you standing exactly where Snorlax was sitting? Since if it wasn't on the exact tile you woudn't find anything.
