where would you be without pokemon?

What would you do if pokemon would of never came into your life, what would take its place, who/what/when did pokemon come into your life
My uncle gave me my first pokemon game (gold) when i was 7 (2000)
without it, i'd be i completely different person.like be some kind of other fan ;250;

I'd be more into Metroid or Final Fantasy. Prolly the former. I shiver in fear when the thought of actually liking crap like FF nowadays strikes me. Just no...

I'd be also much sadder, given that Whitney wouldn't exist. Talk about the Time/Space Continuum losing all it had going for it. ;; And as wonderful as Aerith is (Or was.), she was in love with a foo, and left this world.

So yes. Pokémon is my #1 Fandom. The one that's made me more immersed in fanwork than any other, and the one containing the storyline and characters I love the most. Life would be crap without it, to put it bluntly...

If Pokemon didn't exist, I have no idea where my life would be. Probably similar to how it is now (assuming Digimon did exist), only I'd be focusing more on the other games I like. I might have a different job, as a friend of mine (we met through Pokemon) was the reason I got my first job, which earned me the experience I needed to get the job I have now, but probably nothing serious.

Now, if I never liked Pokemon I doubt I would have ever liked Digimon either, and it was on a small Digimon Fan Forum where I met some of my best friends and my Lover, too. But since I do have a weak spot for cute furry monsters, be them Pocket, or Digital, I met the most important people in my life.

I can tell you *what* I'd be. I'd be bored stupid, that's what I'd be.

Really, I'd probably be more into Final Fantasy, since that was my primary fandom before Pokemon came around.

I dunno. I could say that I'd just be playing other games, but Pokemon Red was my first ever game, it was buying a Gameboy Colour so I could play pokemon that prompted me to buy other games...
...then a GBA...then DS
And as my knowlege of games grew I bought a PS2 and a Gamecube.
Before Pokemon I'd never been prompted to play computer/video games...Zelda, Final Fantasy...all came about after Pokemon.
Saying that, I would have always ended up with a computer which is needed for the family so perhaps I would more of a PC gamer that I am now.
Appart from games Pokemon does not really effect much else...
