Bye bye!
Hi, this is May3, sorry I haven't written in a long time
Please don't ask me about "The Ash for me" I don't know what happened to it.
Anyway, new fic, song fic for none other than Ash and May! YAY!
The song is "Where'd you go?" by Fort Minor, personal favorite of mine!
Anyway, here it goes!
May Maple sat down under an Oak tree, the one that shadowed her house, the one she grew up with, the one she now cried by. Why did it have to be like this? Why did Ash have to leave her and continue his journeys without her? Why did she have to be so dumb?
Where’d you go?
I miss you so
Seems like it’s been forever that you’ve been gone
It happened so fast. One second they were arguing. Ash and May. Both annoyed by their previous loss and so they took it out on each other. She remembered saying how much better it would be if she traveled with Drew instead of Ash. And Ash had told her to join him. She said fine. And then, they left her. Brock, Max, and Ash. They left her in Petalburg where she cried under her favorite tree.
I don’t understand why you always have to be gone
I get along, but your trips always feel so long.
She sat there, wishing she could turn back time. Back to the first time they met so she could say no to them traveling together so she didn’t have to develop this crush on him. So it wouldn’t hurt her so bad to say goodbye. It was sunny the day they met, she used to think of it as a good sign. It’s sunny today, the day they parted. Would that also be a good sign?
I want you to know that it’s a little messed up
That I’m stuck here waiting, at times debating
Telling you that I’ve had it with you and your career
May looked up, if she hadn’t met up with him, where would she be? Who would have saved her from the grass pokemon she had one time ran into? Who would have helped her train for contests. Who would cheer for her when she won? Who would make her smile?
I find myself trying to stay by the phone,
'Cause your voice always helps me to not feel so alone
May smiled sadly at herself. Who was she kidding? Ash didn’t even like her, his eyes were always on Misty. No matter what May did, she could never have as big as a spot as Misty did in Ash’s heart. But, thought May, being his friend is good enough.
Yeah, I find myself just fillin' my time,
With anything to keep the thought of you from my mind,
Maybe it was good that they split up, maybe now May can have more time to train for future contests and taking breaks whenever she felt like it. May stood up and began walking towards her house. Yeah, she would lay back at home for a few days before going to travel again. That would be her plan. Maybe it really was good that she split up with Ash and everyone else.
But if it was so good, why was she still crying?
Tired of sittin' and hatin' and makin' these excuses,
For why you're not around, and feeling so useless,
May made her way to the house, wiping away the last of her tears. She was already thinking of an excuse of why her eyes were so red when she heard Norman talking to someone in their living room.
It seems one thing has been true all along,
You don't really know what you've got 'til it's gone
It sounded like a boy, one that May knew. That voice, who did it belong to?
“Ah, May.” Norman smiled, “Can you come here for a second?”
May nodded obediently, entering the living room.
“Look who came to get you.”
May looked over at the couch and gasped.
Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
“Ash!”
The raven haired boy smiled. “Hey May.”
They both stared at each other, waiting for the other to talk.
Norman laughed. “May, what’s this I hear about you and not traveling? I thought you wanted to travel.”
“I do dad,” said May. “I just…. Ash doesn’t want….”
Ash stood up, pikachu running over to May and jumping into her arms. “Pikachu, I missed you!”
Ash grinned “He missed you too.” Ash looked into May’s eyes, his cheeks slightly red. “I did too.” And when he noticed May and Norman’s surprised stare, he quickly added. “And Max! He misses you! He told me to go get you and um Brock too!”
'Cause your voice always helps me to not feel so alone
May found herself smiling. as Pikachu ran back to Ash.
“Uh, May.” It was Ash. “You’re crying. Are you okay?” Then he pointed towards himself. “Did I make you cry?”
May shook her head. “No, and I’m fine. Thanks Ash.”
“No problem,” H e looked around again. “Should we get going?”
“Yeah, let’s go.” May followed Ash back outside to the smiling sun. Maybe it was a good sign. “And Ash?”
“Yeah?” Ash turned to face May.
“I’m sorry.”
