where's datan

I already beat the game but I restarted my file and I just beat Lovrina in the cipher lab. The walkthrough says datan is outside but where, I searched for an hour and couldn't find him.

If Datan is the scientist who tries to analyze the Data ROM, he's outside the building and located to the far right exit.

Go out of the lab and take the east exit and you will find him
